Midway Auto & RV Reviews (%countItem)

I was working with a salesman on buying a pickup. I found one that I liked and he said all our trucks and SUVs are selling so fast that I will need money to hold it for you. I gave them $500.00 to hold the vehicle. I decided not to buy the vehicle and now they are telling me that I forfeited the $500.00 just like a hotel or motel would do if I canceled a reservation. There was no documentation regarding this matter that was given to me or signed by me.

When a Deposit is given on any vehicle, the customer is agreeing to purchase the vehicle and the dealership is agreeing to take that specific vehicle off of the market. Any other customer that wants that vehicle can not buy it. The dealership takes the vehicle off of the website and stops all advertising on the vehicle. This is common practice at our dealership and most other dealerships. The customer gave the salesman his card number and authorized it to be ran. We are very sorry that he decided to purchase somewhere else. We held that vehicle for a long time waiting for the customer to come pick it up. we did not break the agreement to purchase the vehicle, the customer broke that agreement. As stated this is the dealership policy on all deposits toward vehicles. Thank you

I have asked several times to see the signed documentation that supports the forfeiture of my down payment. I have not received anything. I added a screenshot of the communication between thier salesman and myself. I want my money back.

I have reviewed the text message. It clearly states that that money can be transferred to another vehicle. It doesn’t say anything about refunding the money. The credit card was given 100% voluntarily. When you buy anything online there is no signed document. If you continued with the purchase that deposit would have been added toward your down payment. If you did work for someone and after the work was done the people decided they wanted there money back. Would you return their money? A lot of time and effort went into getting you approved on the vehicle. Money exchanged hand as part of the agreement. The vehicle was taken off of the market and was locked down. I would never expect a buisness to do work for free. This money will also not be lost and will be a credit here that you can transfer to another vehicle at any time in the future

This was not an online purchase. I do not want to do business with you. If you are holding the money for me for a future credit then why won't you just refund the money to me. What is the difference?

After repeated attempts to get my $200 deposit back that was deducted over the phone on my *** card, I believed Joshua when he told me I would get it back if I didn't purchase the RV. I am elevating the issue and will charge Midway with theft. I certainly won't do business
with them again!

Midway auto of *** approved us of financing took our down payment. For a truck and then after some time they went back on the loan after paperwork was filed and signed. Asked us to apply at other banks. And took the truck back after a month of us having the truck in our possession.

Revdex.com, We worked with the *** and did our very best to finalize a loan for them. The *** did do paperwork and did take the vehicle. Vehicle purchases are never final until the dealership is paid by the bank. The customer always has the ability to go to there own bank to acquire funds to pay for the vehicle. The first bank that approved the *** originally, required there address to be registered with the us postal service to verify there residence. There address was not registered, and the *** could not get the postal service to register there address. At that point the bank rescinded the loan approval. Next we contacted the *** to bring back the vehicle, but they asked if there was any other banks that would do the loan. We worked many hours and tried many banks. We were finally able to find another bank that would do the loan. When we went to finalize the new paperwork, we found out that Mr. had quit his job. So the new bank would no longer approve him with out employment. At that point we asked for the vehicle to be returned. They returned the vehicle and we did not refund the partial down payment because the *** had used the vehicle for over a month. We had to get the vehicle back ready to sell. Fresh oil change, re detailed, fully checked out ect. the *** had the use of the vehicle for over a month and put a lot of miles on it! We did however tell the *** that when he was employed again we would be able to help them again and the down payment they had given could be applied toward another vehicle. The *** were very good to work with and it was unfortunate that he quit his job during the loan process. We would love to help them again and apply the money they have paid toward another vehicle.thank you

I am rejecting this response because: my husband had gotten 2 jobs right after he had quit and made more doing those 2 then the one. But they asked for the vehicle back and refused to give back the down payment. The person I talked to said that it was 2 weeks we had the truck and that the down payment that I had asked for back was used to pay the detailers . I don’t agree with not getting the money back we put it down in cash and after 2 weeks because the address wasn’t verified it was refused. We also had to do a lot of the leg work with going to different banks and pulling our credit and lowering it in the process. We opened 2 bank accounts in effort to keep the process going which in my experience with buying vehicles that’s not how it goes. My husband was running around town for days trying to figure out everything. It damaged our credit and we just want our money back at this point. This whole process has triggered my husbands medical condition, and everything is a mess.

I understand that your husband had a lot of time and energy into trying to make the loan work. We also had a lot of time and energy into it. No one wanted the truck to be returned! We tried everything that we possibly could to make it work. In the end the banks look at your credit history, how you have paid on credit cards, loans ect. they also look at your time on the Job and house. Because of your credit and other info not many banks wanted to give you a Loan. You did use the truck, you did put miles on the truck, the truck was returned dirty, we did have to give it a oil change, and full check out. There were real costs involved with you retuning the truck. Like I mentioned before, you are always welcome to go to your own bank and bring us the money for the purchase. If he wouldn't have quit his job, the truck never would have been returned. If you read through the contract you signed it specifically states that the bank may require additional information, it also states that your information on your credit application can not change until the loan is complete or the loan may be canceled. Like I said we will give you inhouse credit for that down payment toward another vehicle. this is a lot more than any other dealership would do. the vehicle was not returned because of us. it was returned because of the loss of his job.

I am rejecting this response because:thank you for the offer , but we just want our money back we will not be going through midway ever again. I’m sorry but we want our money back a lot of people I’ve talked to said that this is what would happen and to just get our money back and never go back and that’s all we want at this point. We will take our business some place else. I guarantee you we will never get a midway vehicle we should have listened to all the locals but we wanted to give it a try for ourselves and it didn’t turn out good at all. Thank you but this whole experience has been a total mess. And I’m done with it..
