Midway Auto Sales and Garage

Review: My husband and I have been going through some difficult times financially.I needed to purchase a car that I would have little or no payment on.I found Midway Auto on [redacted] while looking for a car.I called Nancy E[redacted], the owner of Midway Auto.She told me to come up and look at one of her cars that she had posted on [redacted].My family then drove 2.5 hours to West Jefferson NC where Midway Auto is located. I told Nancy my situation and she offered to help us out.I was very thankful to God and her as I had no means of transportation. She offered to sale me a 2004 Suzuki forenza.I borrowed $1000 from my brother for the down payment and she said she would finance the rest-$1700 ($100 every 2 weeks).I signed all necessary paperwork and left with the car.I was driving home and the car kept overheating.I stopped multiple times for the car to cool down.I then called Nancy(owner of Midway Auto) the next morning to ask if there was anything wrong with the car that I should know about.She told me that there was nothing wrong with car.And now she will not take any of my phone calls.I requested my money back and she told me that it was my "little red wagon" to take care of.Of course she knew that car was not in working order and I cannot even drive the car!!I have no money and no car.She should be shut down!I took the car to have it looked at.I was told that the repair is around $1200.I found out that some other people had this kind of trouble from her.I can't believe businesses are allowed to prey on unsuspecting people who are down on their luck in this manner.Please help me to get my money back.She wont even come get the car to look at it.And the papers for the sale of the car were not even notorized by her.She signed for and used another persons notory seal and name(notary not even there) on that day!!That is illegal!Plese tell me what recourse I have.Doesn't that make all the paperwork null and void?Please help!Desired Settlement: I just want my down payment of $1000 refunded to me and I will give back the car.I need to purchase a vehicle but cannot because I have no money.
