I traded in a vehicle in for a more fuel economical vehicle Now, in 2016, I decided to trade the Midway auto for a newer model and was told by salesman that my trade in was worth half as much because it had been in accidents prior to my purchasing it (no accidents since I bought it) The midway salesman knew this when he sold it to me and lied when I asked the history of it (Thomas was his name) They are extremely dishonest, don't trust them Small town business with big town attitudes Do not buy anything here

This is a letter to resolve
a complaint by *** *** to the Revdex.comComplaint id #*** Midway Has always upheld a great reputation with the Revdex.com and hope we can resolve this Complaint. On 8/8/ *** *** *** *** came into Midway to look at a cheaper work vehicle for *** and a MotorcycleI showed them a few different cars and bikes that were in their price rangeAfter test driving, they narrowed down there search to one specific bike and one car*** was very excited about the bike and wanted to take it that dayThey asked me if they bought both vehicles if I could do a better dealI explained to them that if they purchased both, I could reduce the price on each one by $I told them that if they didn't buy both, the price would revert back to the original selling price of the vehicle and motorcycle They assured me that they did want to buy both, they would do the bike with the financing that I had found for them, but they wanted to check with their own bank on financing on the carThey could only drive one car home that day anywayI said that was fineI did all of the paperwork for the motorcycle that was required and then had *** sign the front of our paperwork checklist stating that she understood that if they did not purchase the car, the price of the bike would revert back to the origional amount, which was $more. A few days later the ***s called and said that they decided against the carI stated that was fineThey would just have to pay the $more, not the discounted price on the bikeI offerered to give them a few days or a week to come up with the other $They seemed fine with our arrangment and were very pleasant to work with. After we had not recieved the $we sent the ***s a letterThere was a misprint on the letter saying $instead of$After no response our secretary called them to see when they could payAt that point the ***s were very upsetThey stated that they talked to the credit union and the county treasurers office and neither knew why they owed the other $I think this is why they are so upset This is true, the agreement was between Midway Auto Sales and the ***s and they signed for it. Midway Auto Sales employs people here in the Bighorn basinWe need to average a certain amount of income per customer saleThis ensures that we stay profitable and can continue to employ people in our comunityI gave the ***s a discounted price on the mototrcycle because they were buying two vehicles at one timeWe are only asking that they pay the other $that was agreed apon and signed for. We were looking for a used fifth wheel and had some specific options we wanted. We stopped at Midway Auto the check out their inventory and found a coach that met our needs. We were initially told the sales price was $15,900.00,but when I asked the salesman to get me numbers on the deal he came back telling me that he misquoted and the price was actually $18,200.00. We proceeded. I was assured the unit would be gone through in their shop and all major systems would be in working order. Despite having set a specific time to pick up the unit, it was still parked on the lot not ready to go. The battery was not charged, no electric cord, missing fuse panel cover the was once there, tires low etc. The paper work was not ready. Once we finally left with the unit about 30 miles down the road we discovered the brakes were not working. When we got home, we contacted the salesman and he told us to have them fixed and send them the bill, as brakes are something they should have checked. We sent them the bill and despite repeat requests we were never reimbursed. Because of the price change, bad service at pick up and a broken promise I would never recommend them. Buyer beware!

Hello, I received your letter dated 2/27/2015 in the mail yesterday on 3/4/2015. I have chosen to email my response due to the 10 day response deadline. I appreciate the information provided from Midway, however I still disagree and reject the business’ response. The dollar amount of the bike being reduced by 500 dollars was that we were a return customer and purchasing a car. The car was not discounted that we were made aware by 500.00 dollars. The second vehicle didn’t really meet our needs after some thought, we told them this at the time I signed the paperwork for the bike. That is when my husband left on the bike and the salesman said we had a few more things to sign. But the salesmen said think it over , being this transaction took place late day and get back to him on Monday. The car dealership was notified on Monday, and we were even told they had more vehicles for us to look at but, we chose to no longer purchase a second vehicle at that time. They told us we needed to pay extra money to secure the loan for the bike, in other words because we did not put cash down on the loan we would need to do that to make the loan work. I did not sign anything that said if we did not purchase the bike, the price of the bike would revert back to the original amount. What he had me sign was a sticky note that he put on a stack of papers. The sticky note reads “ $500.00 due If Chevy Malibu not purchased can have 30 days to pay” this is not a contract. Also, the only contact we had with Midway after that conversation was Nov. 14, 2014 and that was the note requesting the 300.00 dollars that was owed. After we called Midway that day no other communication has occurred other than collection activity from a third party representing them. The sticky note doesn’t fully represent my version or the sale persons’ version of what occurred. I realize Midway has several dealerships in our area and appear to conduct a lot of business with vehicles, boats, rv etc. I believe this matter would be best settled either by Midway dismissing the charge on my credit report and stop collection activities against my husband and myself.  If this is simply not possible, I would be willing to settle this case for 250.00 payable to Midway in cash/money order on 3/20/2015 and have my husbands and my credit report cleaned from this event. I believe a lot of miscommunication took place during this purchase, and believe at least Midway should meet us half way and then end this ordeal. If neither of the two previous options are viable, then we stand by the original response of reject the business account. Thank you for your time,
