Ryan Alvarez outstanding service with my purchase
Ryan Alvarez assisted with my mixed feelings of purchasing a car and with his patience and knowledge was able to assist with my decision of purchasing a car. Hands down Ryan Alvarez at Midway Ford for you next purchase or trade in.

Purchased car for $13K cash, after 30 days the Engine went out in the car, and I have been told I need to purchase a new car.
Wanting to buy my son a car for Christmas, I went to Midway Ford and purchased a 2016 Ford Fusion AS-IS Cash $13K. Being that the car is used, We had the car tune up and diagnosis for any issues the prior owner may have had at Kendall Ford. But to our surprise, the service center informed us that the car engine is No good and unable to drive the car with coolant fluid leaking inside the car. I understand the meaning of AS-IS, however the car being bought to drive it, how is it fair for a company to sell you a car that you cannot drive at all, and then want you to purchase a new car after forking out 13k on the original car.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking any type of help with giving a car that runs that I can at least get more than 30 days of use of it. I would like either a replacement car or a refund so that we can purchase another car in its place. To spend $13K and then spend another 5K on a new engine. I could've bought a new car for this price.

My vehicle has been to Midway ford 4 times for the same issue. It still sits there with no solution in sight
In early August of 2018 my vehicle began acting erratic while on the highway.
The brakes began feeling harder to press and the vehicle was struggling to drive as if in a lower gear, the steering wheel began shaking and I pulled over and immediately the vehicle shut off, I smelled an odor of fluid burning but there was no smoke and the smell quickly went away. I called for a tow truck. After about an hour of waiting I got a call from the towing company that they would not be able to come on the highway. Frustrated, I turned on the van and it cranked right up. I was two minutes away from Midway Ford so I drove it there.
I received a call the next day from the service rep. She informed me that the mechanic who looked at it said nothing was wrong with the van. Obviously this wasn't so, I proceeded to explain the symptoms and asked if another tech can look at it. I received a call the next day stating the next technician had determined the problem was a pressure transducer and the part would have to be ordered. Days later I was told to pick up the vehicle and was charged $402.93
On my way home, five minutes from the dealer the van began the same symptoms described above. I pulled over and had it towed back to Midway Ford. The following day I was advised what was causing the issue was an ABS Control and an ABS module. The scenario unfolded like the previous visit, about a week later I was told to pick up the vehicle and was charged $2348.00
About a month later the van produced the same symptoms. Again I had the vehicle towed back to Midway Ford. This visit I wasn't provided with much information or paperwork. Again about a week later I was told the problem was resolved and was told to pick up the van. I was not charged on this visit.
Again, also about a month since my previous visit the vehicle began with the same symptoms. I was near Midway Ford so I pulled over had lunch and when I returned to the vehicle it started up. I left the van at Midway ford for what would be my 4th visit for the same issue. The following day I was informed the technician could not figure out what was wrong with my van and that I may come and pick up the van, I found this conclusion to be unacceptable. I spoke to the service rep and tech and agreed that they will contact Ford tech support and that all resources available to the technician be exhausted in order to address this issue. This was in early December 2018, it is now January 2019 and I am still without my vehicle and still without any information as to a plan of action on how to fix the van.
I work in the fire service industry and work directly out of this van. It has been at Midway Ford for about 2 months total since the beginning of this ordeal. This directly affects my ability to earn a living. I have been forced to use towing services and ride sharing services to and from the dealer in addition to the $2750.93 I paid Midway Ford.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund to persue the repair at another location

Midway ford advertised on ford.com through ready.shop.go. program a price at which they must honor and sell a vehicle.
Midway Ford refused to honor a car deal for 2018 ford raptor at price advertising with specific vin attached. After 3 calls, 2 voicemails, general manager picked up the phone and hung up right away and refused to do anything that has to do with the car sale.

Desired Outcome

I would like an option to purchase 2018 ford raptor with msrp of at least XXXXX, for invoice price due to negligence, fraudulent advertising, and fraud committed by the dealer.

Midway Ford Response • Apr 03, 2018

The website the customer used to fill out the vehicle request was a Ford Motor Company website , not a Ford Midway Mall website. Ford Midway Mall Inc does not control or created the information found on the Ready Shop Go .com website. However in the documentation the customer provided the Revdex.com, which is attached to this complaint, clearly states on page 4 Disclaimer number #1 " May not be the price at which the vehicle is sold in the trade area" This clearly states that the price quoted on line is subject to change based on the specific trade area and is not guarantee. This clearly makes the customer claim of :deceptive practices" unfounded.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
#1 - Dealer is fully responsible in setting the selling price through Ford.com Ready shop go program. So Midway solely decided to engage in deceptive advertising through ford.com website.
#2 - I understand the disclosure on Page 4, but the purpose of ford's program is for participating dealers ( in this case Midway Ford) to provide up-front pricing with no negotiations to the customer. That particular disclosure is to advise customers that other dealers or even the same dealer may be selling similar car at a different price. This disclosure has nothing to do with this particular option to purchase at advertised price through the website. Also this is considered bait and switch and is also a very unethical and misguiding practice that "Quality" dealerships would not engage in.

Midway Ford Response • Apr 19, 2018

if the consumer still feels Ford Motor Co. practice deceptive advertising practice, we suggest he contact their legal dept. Or we invite him to contact any other local Ford Dealer. We are confident that he will not be able to locate a dealer we will sell that vehicle for MSRP. From time to time the manufacture production. typically these vehicle sell over MSRP. It's simply a supply and demand issue.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
As you can see, Midway ford is not even competent enough to respond in proper sentences and their response is not satisfactory. I actually did purchase another Ford Raptor at below MSRP through another local Ford Dealership. They should have an F rating through Revdex.com to save consumers from dealing with this fraudulent dealer. Also they have one of the worst reviews compared to any other local dealer. Ford should seriously consider revoking their dealer license. I will be seeking legal counsel as well
