We have contacted Ms [redacted] ( via phone and email ) and are waiting for her response as to the date she wants us to come to her house with the new sashes We have no stock windows Every unit is built to the specifications of each order We clearly understand the design/color of the windows she has in her house now and the new sash will be a perfect fit/match

We have manufactured this style of window and screen since Nothing has changed in the design of the product We cannot change how this window and screen is engineered, designed, and fabricated Recently we were made aware of a company that has a new design for a window screen From our understanding of the product, what they have available could possibly better address the situation for this homeowner We will contact the company next week and purchase screens for all of the windows we supplied I do not know their lead time for shipping, but I would anticipate that we will receive the screens in to weeks We would then arrange an appointment to go to the residence and install themPlease note: In the case of a fire, we would always recommend that once the window is opened the individual not try to remove the screen The quickest way to get out of the window is to push or bust out the screen mesh

I am rejecting this response because: Only lower (10) sash are affectedIt would be wasteful to replace the top sash.I also want to make sure that the grids are correct colorsAnd, each window was a bit different, and I paid more to have them custom orderedI want to make sure the replacements are identical in design/color first

We have manufactured this style of window and screen since 2002.  Nothing has changed in the design of the product.  We cannot change how this window and screen is engineered, designed, and fabricated.  Recently we were made aware of a company that has a new...

design for a window screen.  From our understanding of the product, what they have available could possibly better address the situation for this homeowner.  We will contact the company next week and purchase screens for all of the windows we supplied.  I do not know their lead time for shipping, but I would anticipate that we will receive the screens in 4 to 5 weeks.  We would then arrange an appointment to go to the residence and install them. Please note: In the case of a fire, we would always recommend that once the window is opened the individual not try to remove the screen.  The quickest way to get out of the window is to push or bust out the screen mesh.

to our service department.  Our service department then has the responsibility to determine what is required on our part to address any warranty claims.  We have concluded that we will provide and install two new sash for all 10 windows ( a total of 20 sash ).  We have sent an email today to the homeowner to advise her of our decision.  The installation of the new sash will be in November to allow us time to manufacture the product required for her windows.
