Midway Services Discount Club Membership agreement, as is, is a blatant breach of contract meant to deceive the customer.
Midway consumers should know that the company is defrauding it's customers, when the Priority Service clause in the Midway Discount Club Membership Benefits states "You are our priority. You can jump to the head of the line when you call! Your job will be scheduled ahead of others. This applies to routine and emergency calls." On June 18, 2018 the wait for so called "Priority Service" was 43 days. To be more succinct, the customer actually goes to the back of the line, since my first available appointment according to Austin wasn't available until July 30. This is a breach of contract under contract law, that the corporate culture of the company has promulgated solely to increase profits at the expense of the Midway customer. My fraudulent contract was signed on September 16, 2017.

Desired Outcome

Refund $119.00. The State of Florida Attorney General will also be notified as to the breach of contract law practices.

We have spoken to Mr. and apologized for any inconvenience that we caused. We assured that it is never our intention to cause any scheduling hardship to our customers. We informed Mr. that the cost of the membership will be refunded to him fully as he desired and he was satisfied with the resolution.

To date, I have not received a refund. The refund is supposed to be made because Midway
refuses to provide the priority service so stated in the company's contract. The capricious manner in which the company treats it's club members, is surely not a satisfactory response to a prepaid customer.

We apologize for any inconvenience. A refund check has been mailed on 7/2/2018. The customer should be receiving the check in the mail shortly.

On 11/28/17 Midway Services performed plumbing work at my Mother's condo in Clearwater, FL for a simple 2pc toilet rebuild. Since it needed to be done she paid the $410 MIDWAY OVER CHARGED this INCLUDED a $60 discount, (originally Midway charges $470 for this work). After researching I found that 2017 prices for this type of service should have been (per Homewyse.com) $234.64 high side, $195.12 low side; also after talking to others and seeing what parts cost at Home Depot, etc the amount that Midway charged is OUTRAGEOUS....the TOTAL should have been between $150 to $240. 3 calls have been placed to Midway and I have been told that the Manager has my information...to date NO RETURN CALL, which leads me to the conclusion that not only are their prices INFLATED, they also LACK in customer service. So I am writing this review as many places as possible. NEVER CALL MIDWAY SERVICES FOR ANYTHING. Their PRICING is RIDICULOUS; they TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY and the final outcome of the product is NOT the best.....right now it takes approx. 5 minutes for the toilet tank to fill 3/4 of the way and that is supposed to be acceptable.....prior to this rebuild it DEFINITELY did not take that long. Do your research and NEVER call MIDWAY. I KNOW WE will NOT be calling MIDWAY again and WILL be telling other residents at The Top of The World Condos about this experience.

My name is Kathi and I am the Customer Service Manager at Midway Services.

*** called me about her mother's plumbing services and we have resolved all of her concerns.

She is the daughter of *** and she is also the person who actually wrote the posted reviews.

*** had been our customer for Electrical services in the past.
She had PL service at her home on November 28th. *** was there too.
Our technician gave them the plumbing service options to fix their issues. He also gave them upfront pricing for those options.
They chose an option, agreed to the price and had the work done.

After our tech left, *** said that she called other companies and also Lowes, to compare the pricing and then became upset at the price they agreed to pay.
She called our office and complained to our Customer Service Representative.
Because I was in a meeting when she called, I looked into the customer's information for the service before I responded.
I always do this so that I know everything about a customer's service experience.
And because it was now at the end of the day, I decided to call *** back in the morning.

I called ***, at 10:45 AM on 11/29. The phone just rang and rang and it never went to Voice Mail.
I was unable to leave a message for her so she didn't know that I had called.
I called *** again and this time her Voice Mail was working and I left a message for her to call me back.

In the meantime, "***" went online and wrote two very unfortunate reviews about our company and the customer service she said she didn't receive about her concern.
She posted this review on several sites.
What *** DIDN'T KNOW, is that I HAD called to speak to *** in a timely manner, but I couldn't leave a message because the Voice Mail was not working the first time I called her.

So when *** returned my call later that afternoon, I explained all of that to her. She admitted that she was the one who wrote the online reviews.

I let her know that it is ALWAYS Midway Service's intention to help our customers and her concern WAS important to us!

Midway Services has been in business for 60 years and every customer concern is discussed by management and then acted upon accordingly.

I listened to ***'s concern and we discussed every point of it.
I agreed to give her mother a refund that brought her total price for the plumbing service to $175.00.
*** said she thought that was very fair and her mother would be happy with that.
We also sent our plumbing tech back out to the home the next day, free of charge, to make sure that everything was running smoothly in ***'s home.
Our tech reported that *** had been happy with our service and everything was working the way it should be.

Purchased new A/C from them June 2014 which included a 5 year parts warranty. They have provided service to it twice & both times charged for parts
August 2017 tech came out for service & first off told me there was no warranty on my unit. After he left I pulled my paperwork & found the 5 yr parts guarantee. I contacted them by phone & was sent an e-mail saying I was correct & they would be refunding $122. Of course it's been a month & I have contacted several times & they don't respond & of course have not refunded what they admitted owing. I then researched another incident back in Mar 16 when they again had charged for parts. Unfortunately for me, on their invoices/receipts they don't ever show how much is parts & how much is labor, in all the years of dealing with them, I cannot find one receipt which breaks it down & now I understand why. On the email from Jeff V. Service Manager, where he admits to overcharging on the 8/17 date- he indicates that the entire bill was for labor. After checking with a few other A/C companies- either he is not telling the truth or they are the highest priced A/C company in town. I would not have contacted you if he had immediately sent me the check for the $122 that he admitted overcharging me. However, having all this time, waiting for the payment has allowed me to research other A/C companies & find out that I was overcharged on both incidents. It also gave me the insight to review all of my past paperwork from them & realize that they never show a breakdown in cost only a total fee- how convenient for them.

Desired Outcome

I first want my check for $122 that Jeff indicated I was due on his email of 8/22 & then I want him to be honest & fair in his dealings with the 3/16 service & give the proper refund for that incident as well
