Volkswagen Service Department, I can offer the following update: concerning the part needed for the repair; even though the Volkswagen USA parts warranty had expired, our Manager asked for assistance in order to help the Consumer and we have received the requested help from Volkswagen USA, additionally we have reduced our labor charges to contribute assistance for the repairAlso our Service Manager has contacted the Consumer to present the update and to determine if she wanted to move forward with the repair, she has agreed and we expect to have the vehicle repair completed no later than next weekUnfortunately this is an older high mileage vehicle, when a problem presents and is corrected it often will trigger other issues which were not previously evidentWe are confident, the technical staffs involved with the various repairs have always provided careful and thoughtful diagnostic and repair workThank you for your assistance in this matterSincerely, KR*** Garcia Automotive Group
