Midwest Auto Group L.L.C. Reviews (3)

I have been entirely dissatisfied with the treatment that I have received from Midwest Auto Group. I bought a decent '07 Ford Focus from them with the understanding that they would fix three specific problems. It's been almost three months, and I have called them about 30 different times trying to get them to fix my car. So far two of the three problems have been fixed, but the energy and time that I have wasted trying to get them to do that much has not been worth it. In the end, the car was a pretty decent car, but all the trouble that I have gone through to get them to fix it has not been worth it.

Review: Feb 8th 2014 my daughter and I test drove a few vehicles at the Midwest Auto Group in Olathe, Ks. I filled out loan application to purchase a 2007 Hyundai Veracruz listed for Appox. $13,995. The sales person([redacted]) told my daughter and I that the loan companies wanted the down payment in hand when they submitted the loan application because there had been some dealers that change prices after loan approval. He said if I was not approved the monies would be refunded right back. So I gave him my debit card so he could swipe it for the $1000 Dollar down payment, signed the pre-sale receipt and got my copy. After waiting a few hours [redacted] came back and said they wanted $5000 Dollars down. I told that I was not going to put that amount down. He ask me to take Sunday and look at their web site inventory to see if I could find something I liked $10,000 Dollars or less. I told him I would look and get back with him on Monday. On Monday, Feb. 10th, 2014, I phoned [redacted] and told him I did not see anything and to please refund my down payment. I told him I would save up a little more for a down payment and purchase at a later date. I called [redacted] later that week to tell him I hadn't received the money in my account and He said "he go tell [redacted] and that it should have been done by now." I got that excuse 2 more times after that when I called during the week or the Feb. 17th 2014. I also called several times the the manager ([redacted]). An excuse was always given, either (he was on the phone, had someone in his office, etc.) After leaving numerous request, I still never received a return call from manager [redacted] . On Tuesday Feb. 25th 2014 I called again and they finally connected me to [redacted], he answered saying "I've gotten several new cars in if you don't come in soon your going to lose your deposit." I responded " I didn't give you a deposit! You all are crooks!" He hung up. I haven't purchased a new car in awhile. Is this how car dealers work now?Desired Settlement: Please refund the $1000 Dollars down payment. Plus interest!!! No vehicle was purchased

Business

Response:

Hello [redacted],

We did not have [redacted]’s credit card info.

When she did not purchase a car, I approved refund.

There was some confusion about her having to come

in and have her credit card swiped to issue refund.

She did come in…

This was done approximately two weeks ago…

I just got off the phone with [redacted] and she has received

credit.

Hope this helps resolve…..

Best,

[redacted] C [redacted]
