Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2016/05/07) */
Contact Name and Title: Midwest Auto Credit
Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX
Contact Email: [redacted]@netscape.net
In response to Mr. [redacted] and Miss [redacted] 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 truck that was...

financed/sold on 10.23.2015. First of all [redacted] never indicated at the time of purchase that they would be skipping to [redacted] and gave us a bogus address of [redacted] XXXXX. We provide a 30 days or 1000 miles 50%/50% FREE warranty on all our vehicles. 30 days to the day after the warranty was going to run out Mr. [redacted] indicated he blew a rod in Gas City,In. about 2.5 hours south of our dealership. We didn't hesitate to go have the vehicle towed at our expense and brought to a mechanic who replaced the engine. We paid a 100% of the bill up front, and allowed Mr. [redacted] to make payments on the rest of his half owed under our 50/50% warranty. He has failed to pay and still owes over [redacted] of repairs on his portion. [redacted] then indicated they were in route to [redacted] and were going to keep going or repack and head down shortly after truck broke down. Some third party individual (criminal conversion) was allowed to drive the truck for months until they came up after the Holidays to get it. This voids any future warranty's on the engine that was replaced by [redacted] mechanic shop. Then Mr. [redacted] calls 6 months later to indicate more issues when the warranty was well out after putting thousands of miles on a 15 year old truck and expects the dealership to pay, ridiculous, and not common sense. We transferred his loan to [redacted] Services a div. of [redacted] and if he fails to pay them will be sued/garnished accordingly. We are no longer interested in Mr. [redacted] and have a business to run. We can't run to every issue a customer has on a pre-owned vehicle, that is out of warranty, that wouldn't be right, or fair to the rest of our customers who fix there vehicles as maintenance is done accordingly. This is out of our jurisdiction and will pursue legal action if Mr. [redacted] continues to be harassing in phone calls/messages to our dealership. Management, ownership.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2016/05/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First of all no one ran off to [redacted] without telling anyone. [redacted] knew my wife was a traveling rn. Second of all to start it all off when we got the truck we had to let [redacted] know it wasn't acting right as soon as we bought it. We have had nothing but problems out of this vehicle and a certified dodge dealership won't even work on the truck. There is all kinds of problems with this truck he took our truck and got it worked on at [redacted] auto salvage junk yard we didn't want it taken to a junk yard. [redacted] won't answer my calls and he willing knew about these issues out of this truck. We wanted something done before our 30 days were up he refused to help. Now we have 1500 miles on a truck that never pulled a trailer because it can't and [redacted] must be fine with this. I asked for his owner to call me and he never did anything. I have no idea what miles are on this truck or anything. We got a junk yard motor because he refused to put a proper one in our truck. Power steering is out, gas straps were falling off got my truck back and couldn't put it in park. Check engine light and abs is on. Can't get o2 sensor off. None stop issues he can even talk to dodge dealership they said with kids involved how could they sell us this vehicle. They ripped us off we traded our trailblazer in for this truck. It's not right he won't even answer calls and he sold out loan and didn't tell us. Great business in there eyes ripping off a family with lots of kids.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 10, 2016/05/09) */
The trade in from Mr. [redacted] blew a motor right away and the current customer was out of a vehicle. The Trailblazer still is sitting and have not found a used engine yet for it. There are two sides to each coin and we have done all we can as a dealership/finance company to accommodate Mr. Horvath/Cambron. MOST dealerships would not of towed the vehicle 2.5 hours away for FREE under a limited 50/50 warranty and PAY THE FULL BILL up front. WE PAID IT A 100%. He still owes on his 50/50 part of this equation. We have a [redacted] address and that's it...have tried to send mail there and it keeps coming back but Mr. [redacted] keeps indicating he is coming back. We have exhausted all avenues with [redacted] and gone above and beyond. We honored our 50/50 warranty and so far have paid almost or all the bill including tow. We transferred the loan to a bank since [redacted] is out of the area and he pays [redacted] Services, X-XXX-XXX-XXXX accordingly. It's a 15 year old pre-owned truck and we honored our limited warranty like we do on all our vehicles. The owner has been in business 18 years with a strong track record locally and with the Revdex.com.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 12, 2016/05/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
How's come the owner won't call me? Nobody lived up to anything we traded in our trailblazer and got a truck that can't and never has been able to tow anything. I want the owner to call me XXXXXXXXXX. This isn't how you do business period. I bought a truck that could get fixed by someone this one can't and you want XXXXX dollars on this vehicle. I bought a vehicle with XXXXX miles not a junk yard motor that wasn't put in properly. Don't have to pass the buck to [redacted] This was Midwest auto have had a certified dealership look at this truck and multiple mechanics. He has our address also or he wouldn't of sent us mail. We make our payments but nobody held there end of the bargain. This isn't right and any one who has looked at the truck doesn't know how they even had this on there lot.
