*** * *** Did purchase a vehicle on 10/16/The vehicle that was purchased was provided with a clean title stating no major damagePrior vehicle damage or paint work is never denied when selling our vehiclesMost of the time we just don't know for certain that a vehicle has or has not
been paintedSince we have never had a situation where a consumer was miss informed about prior vehicle damageWe have never sold a salvage title vehicle in that time

Reached owner Scott *** by phone.Mr *** says that when Ms *** first began experiencing vehicle issues, she was covered by a third-party warrantyThe warranty provider verified the issue, and paid for a used transmission. When that used transmission subsequently failed, Mr *** says the
warranty provider would not pay for another transmission for the vehicle, so the dealer opted to purchase and install another used transmission on a goodwill basis. When that used transmission also failed, Midwest Car Search decided to purchase and install a remanufactured transmission for Ms ***, free of chargeWhen Ms *** returned later complaining of noise, Mr *** says Midwest Car Search technicians could find nothing wrong with the remanufactured transmission, and diagnosed a wheel bearing issueHe says Ms *** did not want to make this repair at that time, and left with the vehicle.Mr *** says the dealer has done a total of about $3,worth of work ($2,transmission + labor charges) on a goodwill basis, plus service loaners provided while work was being done.He says Midwest Car Search is sympathetic to Ms ***'s situation, but he feels the dealer has gone above and beyond what might be reasonably be expected under the circumstances, and will not be able to participate financially in any future repairs or allow exchange of the vehicle

[redacted] has never called the dealership since her purchase on 02/21/17. We did receive a call on 03/16/17 from her boyfriend. We explained that the warranty we provide free covers powertrain items on the vehicle. The water pump is not a covered component of the warranty. I was in the business office...

of the dealership when he spoke with one of my employees. He was informed it was not a covered component and he was not happy. One of the employees put him on hold and asked me what to do and I said we would take care of the water pump. The employee got right back on the phone and let him know that and he was not happy with that either. Then he asked to speak with me. I picked up immediately and talked with him. He went in to how we would address other items after I fixed that. We did not receive any calls prior to 03/16/17 as mentioned. He was not a nice person on the phone and finally I explained I wouldn't be doing anything for [redacted]. Her boyfriend is a bully and I had enough. My employees don't deserve to be treated that way.Scott [redacted]OwnerMidwest Car Search

I am rejecting this response because:
Hello,This response is ridiculous. I have contacted the dealership several times and left messages. I have left messages with staff, voicemails, emails, and Facebook messages. I have phone record proof that I have called just within a few days after I bought the vehicle. When I was even at the dealership I noticed that the tires kept on getting low, the car was making noises, and they kept on referring that everything will be fine. I have never received any response back to any of my messages. I finally took the vehicle in to a local mechanic shop. They noticed right away that the water pump is out, control arms are unsafe to drive. Whoever put one of the rear tires on it was illegal because a plug in a wrong spot, and the other tires has a rim that's cracked that's why the tires keep getting low. I also never started the vehicle myself and noticed that the switch to turn is hard to switch. My kids tried the DVD player and that's not working. I bought this vehicle from this dealership intending them to sell me something in good faith and take my phone calls and messages if anything went wrong. I haven't been able to drive this vehicle for a while now and would like some help or answers as to why they sold me a vehicle in this rough of shape. Thank You, [redacted]
