MIDWEST CONCRETE & CONST INC did a fantastic job on our driveway! We watched them work on THREE other driveways (over the past year and a half) on our street and were so impressed with the quality of materials that was used and for the look of the final product that we were willing to wait for MIDWEST CONCRETE & CONST INC to do our driveway
When Tom came out to give us a bid he was the ONLY contractor that mentioned replacing two slabs on our sidewalk that had settled and were pulling away from our front porch This was an issue that I wanted my husband to fix but he was unable to do soNow our side walk and porch looks great!
We had about contractors come out and give us bids and MIDWEST CONCRETE & CONST INC WERE THE ONLY contractors that would use "clean rock" (inches), wire mesh and Raineri Concrete (inches) to complete our job, a QUALITY job from beginning to the end! The pitch of the driveway is nearly perfect to run the water away from our back door and off the driveway
Tom's bid was the 2nd least expensive bid and used the best QUALITY PRODUCTS I have to agree with another review that I read, a lot of contractors would not come out to our house because a "driveway" was apparently too small of a job
Two of my neighbors have already asked who the contractor was that poured our driveway and we are happy to say "MIDWEST CONCRETE & CONST INC," so Tom and his crew will most likely have more jobs from our street in the near future Also, Tom's Crew worked in a professional manor EACH day they were on the job site! I will recommend MIDWEST CONCRETE & CONST INC to EVERYONE!

Midwest Concrete removed our asphalt driveway and concrete walkwayThey then poured a new concrete driveway, two new walkways and built natural stone retaining wallsThey also did a small job in our basementTom, Chris, Ben, and all of the other employees were great to work with and did a nice jobMany neighbors have complimented us on the new look and are getting bids for themselves

Mr. and Mrs. [redacted],   On 6/16/2017 I emailed you all in response to your email on 6/16/2017, I asked you for the report from your expert, which I still haven't received.  I also asked for your report from the loss department of your insurance company, and have not received that...

either.  We also asked for a meeting, with no response.  We came to pull the forms and clean up, only to find the column gone.  Repeated phone calls to [redacted] were never returned.  The pictures with the level make no sense, we used a level (crick), the best brand of level made, it shows different results which are clearly correct (within normal specifications).   If you do not want to take my word I will be happy to hire an engineer to go over all of the elevations.  A drain can be installed, which helps when drainage is at a minimum.  Please let me know when you will be sending those reports.   Thank you, [redacted]

I could not be happier! The patio turned out gorgeous. Tom (the main guy) was very down to earth and seemed honest. I pretty much chose them randomly so I was terrified about my yard getting torn apart. Well worth the chance I took! Tom was very knowledgeable. The whole crew was very neat and somehow managed to keep things looking organized even in the middle of the job. The finished product exceeded all my expectations. Only negative is setting up the meetings, getting calls returned, and paperwork settled was a bit slow. I had to stay on top of things myself. But honestly compared to the beautiful work they do that is a tiny negative. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

I was pleased with the work this firm performed for me this month (November 2015), and was very impressed with the owner's expert knowledge of concrete and paving practices. My project was small -- mostly driveway and sidewalk repairs -- and most of the St. Louis area concrete firms I contacted were not interested in undertaking my project and didn't have the courtesy to return my calls or send an estimator to my house when they said they would. My experience with Midwest Concrete was very different. Owner Tom S[redacted] personally visited my house and prepared a free estimate for me, and his knowledge and recommendations were so impressive that I knew I need look no further. I wanted his firm to do the work, and it proved to be a good decision. I am very satisfied with the work his employees did for me and would certainly recommend his firm to others.

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: After Midwest refused to correct their original mistakes, then further damaging the driveway by cutting it in half without our permission and then tried bullying us by sending a bill for an additional $1,200 for their attempt to fix the porch (that they had sloped toward the house), we had enough and contacted a lawyer.  In June the lawyer sent a demand letter to Midwest Concrete informing them that all communications should go to the law firm.  They had also asked for a response from them else a law suit would be filed. The lawyer has yet (today is August 10th) to receive a response from Midwest and so the suit has been filed.  If we had received an attempt of any kind by Midwest to address our concerns in the past two months maybe we could have reached some agreement before filing suit.  Instead they would rather appear to be trying here on Revdex.com by making false claims of communications and of made up reports.  Even claiming my home depot level isn't good enough. The sidewalk project Midwest completed for us went extremely well! Our summation: The pour was done Friday morning, February 5th, 2016 and the Midwest crew did a terrific job. The walks and steps look great! Additionally I had asked the foreman to dump the excess concrete in the ditch along the street below our culvert. When checking on this the next day I found the excess concrete had not been randomly poured into the ditch. Instead the crew had taken the time to use the excess to create storm water entry and exit ramps at both ends of the culvert. Wow! How cool is that?!! This example of above and beyond customer service is hereby recognized and duly appreciated! The Midwest employees were courteous and professional and they kept us well informed as the work progressed. I appreciate their efficiency and craftsmanship. We couldn't be happier with the results!
