RE: Complaint [redacted] - [redacted] Custom Meats Y128th Street E Puyallup WA Response to Complaint: [redacted] purchased a beef from a farmer, kill date 2-13-2016, hanging weight 860ibs Customary handing days 12-days, unless otherwise requested by the customer This beef was cut on 2-27-and immediately frozenOption for customer in my shop are to be present at the time of cutting and wrapping On 3-3-invoice was made out for [redacted] & her sister [redacted] who was receiving one-quarter of the beef cut and wrappedCharges for the cutting & wrapping is based on the original hanging weight of lbsAt the time the customer made arrangements to pick up the beef On 3-8-the meat for [redacted] and her sister was picked up by [redacted] , [redacted] and [redacted] sonAt that time, the farmer who sold her the beef and I were paid for cutting and wrappingAll Cash Hanging weight and final weight of the beef is approximately 30% less for loss of bones and fat, which is approximately 199.881bs of the original lbs which would result in approximately lbs finishedWith the split she gives her sister approximately lbs is what [redacted] gets and [redacted] around lbs I received a call that they weight the beef when they got home and they were missing approximately lbsI took her word and replaced the meat with my own beefAfter that realizing that the meat was not missing, her sister got the lbsI didn't owe her anymore meat I spoke with [redacted] times, once over the phone for the cutting order, in person times, picking up the original order and then with husband when they came to the shop 2nd time to pick up supposed missing meat that wasn't really missing I received a screaming call from sister [redacted] who was complaining that she did not receive short ribs, I explained that [redacted] is the one that put in the cutting order and it was not requestedAt no time did she or has she complained about hairy, smelly or old meat I received several screaming calls from the son of [redacted] , did not speak with [redacted] on the phone other than cutting order and in person when meat was picked up The last phone call I spoke with the son and he threatened to call the authorities and I said Okay, send them I made an appointment for them to bring in the so called smelly, blood clotted meat on 3-24-They never showed and I waited for hours after closing the meat shop to resolve this issueI was trying to resolve this issue because I am a small shop and I want returning customers I have not been ignoring any calls, I have a phone and answering systemMy shop is only closed on Sunday and Monday, and they could have come anytime the shop was open, they did not need an appointment I have attached a copy of the cutting order and a copy of the receipt that they paid me for my services of cutting and wrapping Albert [redacted] S [redacted] (Butch) Custom Meats Llc 253-537-

Customary handing days 12-14 days, unless otherwise requested by the customer....

This beef was cut on
2-27-2016 and immediately frozen. Option for customer in my shop are to be present at the time of cutting and wrapping.
On 3-3-2016 invoice was made out for [redacted] & her sister [redacted] who was receiving one-quarter of the beef cut and wrapped. Charges for the cutting & wrapping is based on the original hanging weight of 860 lbs. At the time the customer made arrangements to pick up the beef.
On 3-8-2016 the meat for [redacted] and her sister was picked up by [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted] son. At that time, the farmer who sold her the beef and I were paid for cutting and wrapping. All Cash.
Hanging weight and final weight of the beef is approximately 30% less for loss of bones and fat, which is approximately 199.881bs of the original 860 lbs which would result in approximately 660 lbs finished. With the split she gives her sister approximately 150 lbs is what [redacted] gets and [redacted] around 510 lbs.
I received a call that they weight the beef when they got home and they were missing approximately
150 lbs. I took her word and replaced the meat with my own beef. After that realizing that the meat was not missing, her sister got the 150 lbs. I didn't owe her anymore meat.
I spoke with [redacted] 3 times, once over the phone for the cutting order, in person 2 times, picking up the original order and then with husband when they came to the shop 2nd time to pick up supposed missing meat that wasn't really missing.
I received a screaming call from sister [redacted] who was complaining that she did not receive short ribs, I explained that [redacted] is the one that put in the cutting order and it was not requested. At no time did she or has she complained about hairy, smelly or old meat.
I received several screaming calls from the son of [redacted], did not speak with [redacted] on the phone other than cutting order and in person when meat was picked up.  The last phone call I spoke with the son and he threatened to call the authorities and I said Okay, send them.
I made an appointment for them to bring in the so called smelly, blood clotted meat on 3-24-2016. They never showed and I waited for hours after closing the meat shop to resolve this issue. I was trying to resolve this issue because I am a small shop and I want returning customers.
I have not been ignoring any calls, I have a phone and answering system. My shop is only closed on Sunday and Monday, and they could have come anytime the shop was open, they did not need an appointment.
I have attached a copy of the cutting order and a copy of the receipt that they paid me for my services of cutting and wrapping.
