To whom is may concern regarding a complaint against our company Bi State Driving School ID# [redacted] concerning [redacted]. They allegedly claim that we were rude and unprofessional which is not our business practice and we go out of our to make sure...

our customers are satisfied and taken care. While we still must maintain a business that is complaint with the rules and regulations of the state and have our own company policies that are in place to make sure we can pay for our overhead and employees.Just to let you know what are business policies are and how we implement them is as follows. We have parents and students call us everyday and ask us about how the program works and what is required. We are honest and fair unlike the practice of several other schools in the KC Metro area. When a student comes to class and joins our program they are required to bring with them a parent or a legal guardian that must be 18 years of age or over. The student, parent and or legal guardian come to our office an hour ahead of class time so that the parent can have ample time to read and go over our contract before signing  The contract page clearly tells them that if an appointment is missed or they do not give us 24 hours notice prior to a driving lesson they will be charged a $175 fee so we can still pay our employees and cover all of our expenses. The office staff, Instructors and our contract all state this policy, we also tell our customers in class as well as over the phone when we are setting up the drivers portion and is even on our website as well. Students are also asked and required to give us the parents phone number as well as the students. We book our lessons with the parents to avoid problems and issues of talking to or younger students in missing appointments. We also do this with our students that require Interpreters so both of the parties understand clearly our policy. When this parent called our office and wanted to reschedule the lesson we kindly told her what the policy was and that it was not our fault that the school her son attends did not give them prior notice that he had a swim meet so she could call and cancel our appointment. Most schools I have ever attended don't just spring school functions on students and give them ample time to clear their calendars because they have to reserve, set up and notify everyone about the event. So we told her about the 24 hours policy and even gave it to her for $150.00 instead of $175.00 as our policy states. She was not only upset but hostel and rude along with cussed out or employee. Our employee told her to please quit cussing and that this is and has always been the policy and that she even signed the contract. She then called back again and said that she was going to sue us and write everyone she could and let them know we were crooks and not to do business with us. She has already posted a review on Google and is in the process of trying this with the Revdex.com. We did over 1000 students this year and unless our customers don't listen and abide by the policy are very happy with our company and employees. We do our best to provide a good, clean, safe and professional business along with have helped out several of the local schools with scholarships to auction off to raise money for their schools. We have customers tell us and on almost every review how well we do along with how nice we are. We have even had several students this year and last year that attended other driving schools and had issues so they dropped out of them and came to us. While in business we have only had one other bad Google review and the student was told upfront unless he could drive safely we would not do highway driving and that it is not mandatory to pass his drivers test. This person could not drive safely and was also a detriment to other drivers on local roads, so we did not pass this student and so he was upset and gave us a bad review. We would much rather have a bad review and keep a student alive. While we are not perfect in anyway we are always working on changing policies that will better serve our students and provide a safe and professional environment for them. If you would like we can send you a signed copy of the contract by the parent. This student also went through 8 hours of classroom and 4 hours out of the 6 hours of driving and never complained until this incident and even then we tried to accommodate her by lowering our fee $25.00. If you have any questions or needs please feel free to contact us the owners of Bi State Driving School.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  It is such a disappointment to see the response from the owner of Bi State Driving School. Many things stated in the response are new to me. Not only the owner changed the stories, but also accusing me out of my character. To be clear; first of all, I was not “kindly” told about the rules by your staff. I do make my opinions known, but I don’t cuss. “Telling me to quit cussing” is the best lie you can ever make. Secondly, it was your office staff who started telling me to “Sue us if you don’t like it” in two different occasions, 2nd lie you made. Last, I do not remember being offered a fee of $25?  If your staff offered that option and with a better attitude, we would never have this conversation or take this to Revdex.com, 3rd lie. By seeing how your staff treated me and your response, it even more ensured me not to recommend your business to anyone. I only can wish you the best luck to your “honest and fair” business.Regards,
