Great product. Great service. Great installation. Left our basement perfecting clean.
Thanks for your review Steve. Very glad to hear you had a great experience!
We had these guys out doing work on our basement... they started the work, tore out part of the ceiling and put holes in the ground for their anchors... decided half way through the week that they couldn't finish the work. They ended up taking their equipment, left the holes in the floor and the ceiling and left with the work not complete. They told us that no one would be able to do the work at our house and we were out of luck essentially. We ended up finding a company to do the work no problem and the company that completed our work couldn't figure out why these guys couldn't do the work. We are just sad we now have more costs to having to fix our ceiling and floor unnecessarily due to these guys just leaving the job and not repairing their things. We are also having some water issue due to the holes in the floor being their we believe. We will never recommend nor go through this company.
Justin and Kristen,
Our team has reviewed your project and there are some areas in which we didn't live up to our standards. We are grateful we have been able to reach you by phone and look forward to meeting with you very soon to assess the project at your home. We will continue conversations regarding this project and want to do everything we can to take care of you, our valued customer. We regret very much the frustration and dissatisfaction you have experienced. Our company was founded on taking care of our customers and we are committed to doing so with you. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and more importantly, allowing us to work with you and make this right.
Very best regards,
Elli Aesoph,
Director of Customer Care
Great work. I wish something else could of been done with the old sump pump exit, they just taped it over. Other than that, superior work. They got done early and was courteous.
Thanks for your review Jayson.
Midwest Foundation Repair seems to feel that they can endanger health with abandon in executing their work, and, makes no effort to accommodate renters living in a home that they may be fixing after contracting work with the homeowner. They proceeded to arrive at this job later in the morning two days running, impacting my activities at a time that Zoom meetings are routine; told their crew chief and homeowner that they were waiting outside doing nothing for 45 minutes, and in one case, were knocking on my door when they actually were not - I was inside, knew that they had just arrived and could see them standing around their equipment and truck. After leaving huge holes in the lawn the night before, they were late the next day and arrived after I was told to expect them, and started backfilling holes that were left on the property lawn by my request - they were dangerous, and could have caused significant physical injury if someone or an animal had gotten into them unintentionally. Finally, the drilling in the basement concrete block walls was generating significant dust without having a window that opened to the outside downstairs to remove it - I had to request that they come up with a different solution. They brought a dust removal machine, sat it at the top of the stairs and piped a large tube outside - which worked partially until they began drilling again, still filing the basement with aerosolized dry dust particles. When I spoke to the inhouse production manager, and a logistics manager, they seemed to think that they were addressing my concerns just to make me feel better - when I had legitimate concerns about noise, timeliness, and generating dust from drilled painted concrete and other materials (think mold, silica, hopefully not asbestos, lead). The production manager and a counterpart, the logistics manager, were polite but dismissive - apparently the only item of concern for this company was their contract with the homeowner to perform the work for a given time with absolutely no interest in or care for the persons residing in this property that would be impacted by their actions. This job was probably technically performed well, and I know that it is much less expensive to fix or stabilize a foundation using this approach than to actually build out a new foundation. As a former homeowner in other states I have never purchased or owned a home with foundation problems, so this was a first for me - but, I have worked with subcontractors and building engineers during medical facility renovation construction, which was not like this, with more care taken for the impacts upon other employees and experimental assets. The crew working was for the most part personable and attentive to the work that they were doing. However, the corporate disregard for the persons actually living in the home in executing the work that they had contracted to do, as well as the process, noise, health risk involved and crew misrepresentations that I learned of and observed were not good. The company insisted that they were not responsible for any exposure or loss experienced by the tenant and that the homeowner was the responsible party with which they had contracted, which I do not think is entirely true.
Susan, sorry to hear about the disruptions you experienced this week. We coordinate all work through the homeowner and ask them to work with tenants. From looking through our customer care conversations, we did halt work as you requested to allow you to finish your meeting. These delays in production are also the reason the crew took a bit longer to complete their work. As mentioned in your review, we also responded to your request to mitigate dust and set up a system to help. We care about our crew and residents of the homes we work on. We did work with you on requests but the scenario, perhaps, wasn't conducive for both parties. Although we clean up very well after we complete our work, it can be messy for a short time. We also understand during the COVID pandemic your choices to work outside of your home are limited. The owner of this building requested this work be done and we're proud to assist. Again, perhaps this instance wasn't perfect due to the circumstances. All mentions of our process on this project have been cascaded to appropriate managers for training.
Left a more detailed review on the company website. These folks are fair, diligent and very competent. I ask a lot of questions - all were answered without waiver. If price is your concern, shop around, I did. Exceeded expectations.

We had our basement "fixed" with midwest basements systems in late September last year. We had issues right from the beginning.
When they came out to put the "system" in, they left and that night we noticed that there were cracks in our walls that were not there before and also the door for our son's room was not put back properly and would not shut. We called them and they came out a week or so later to "fix" these issues -which apparently meant to put a silicon calk in the cracks and take pictures if there is an issue for later on.... Our recent experience was even more frustrating - we were gone camping for the weekend of fathers day and came back during the day to let our animals out and that saturday it had rained and water was everywhere, the rain had came in bringing mud along with it. We called them that Monday the 18th and were told they would send someone to look at it on that next tuesday the 26th. The guy came out and had no idea what he was doing and told us that he would have someone from the office call us. I had to call them on Thursday after not hearing anything and then was told that the production manager *** was out and would call me tomorrow - this was after it had rained a few more times. Friday came and she called me first thing but stated that no one could come out till the 12th and would be between 8-12 and someone would need to be at the house since they would leave there facility at 8 and head right to me. We had called them again since it had rained again and still getting mud and the system backed up completely and we were up till 2 am cleaning and trying to keep up with the water pouring in our basement we also noticed that the sumppump they put in is leaking water back in as well since they did not put the clamp on properly- they told us that they could not come out sooner and that 2 weeks is an acceptable time frame. So now today is the 12th and at 12:42 they are still not at my house to "fix" the issue. I called at 11:48am and talked to *** and she stated that they had a couple other jobs in Prairie city but would have the Guy call me. He called me a min later and said he didnt look at his notes and that he would be there around 3pm- meanwhile I missed out on a whole day of work waiting on them to show up. - This has not been a very pleasant experience and wish we never would have went through them to have this system put in, we have more issues than we ever did in the past and keep ruining items in our basement from the water damage.
We paid a lot of money for our basement not to leak water but now it is leaking mud also - I want them to be fair and worry about their current customers not just the new ones signing up with them.
We have been in contact with *** and took a look at the situation on July 13th, one day after her post on Revdex.com. Today (July 16th) we *** be going back to the property to further evaluate and begin working on the solution. We *** continue to work with *** and keep Revdex.com updated on the resolution of the situation.
We our sump system serviced by Chad H today. While having had my system serviced for years Chad noticed he could make it run more efficiently by reworking pvc.
You broke my front door, you punch it becauaw we werent home. We went home because you didnt show up at 9 am.
Tue feb. 6 at around 1 O'clock your sales man came ro our house and punch a hole in our door bwcauae we were not home.
We tired to fix the door and its still leaking air into our home. I want the door replacement and also we want an apology
Midwest Basement Systems has spoken with the employee who was at this residence and he advised that when he arrived, the panel in the exterior door was broken. He had called and texted the homeowner about the appt and that he was waiting for them at the house. Because the door panel was broken, he took a photo of it so that he had a record of this damage that was there and it looked suspicious. He waited in his car at the residence for another 20 minutes with no response from the homeowner.
We are admitting no responsibility to any of the damage. Midwest Basement Systems understands that this homeowner feels that they are correct but their allegations are unfounded.
To repair relations and appease this homeowner's request, we will repair or replace the door as needed at our discretion. We again are not claiming any blame for this but want this homeowner to have a conclusion to this issue.
The issue I had was handled with kindness, understanding and expertise today. Chad Henrichs was considerate and listened to my concerns and respected my frustration. He repaired the problem not only because he knows his job, but because he studied and explored what was causing the issue. When he shared the solution with me he did it with complete professionalism.
