I am rejecting this response because: Of the brass weight shells, weight shells were damaged, first one more than the second. We went to a professional *** *** authorized clock shop dealer to order brass weight shells through special order and it was explained that it was best to replace all brass weight shells. Because of the age of the clock, it could be impossible to get an exact match to the 3rd one and they would never make a claim or guarantee after it was ordered and installed. The older clocks (like our clock) have weight shells made of BrassToday, *** ***, one of few still making grandfather clocks, are making weight shells made of aluminum with brass finish (to keep cost down).When *** came to our home, he examined the damage and asked us to send him a quote/bill and we complied. That quote is $and we did not include any other expense relating to time and effort of getting quotes and information. We conducted ourselves as professionals on July 8, with the employees representing ABC Movers (as reported previously in the original report). We feel *** is acting unfairly and not owning up to his obligation that his employees do not dispute the fact that they damaged the grandfather clock in the move. We would like full payment

questioned our liability coverageShe would not allow them to move anything until someone contacted me about additional coverageI explained to them that we're liable for sixty cents per lbThat is what we are mandated to carry through TXDMVI offered them additional coverage but they refused itAfter they were given permission to begin loading the Grandmother proceeded to give them instructions on how she wanted the truck loadedThey did inform her that they were skilled movers and do this for a livingBut she insisted on them doing it her way, so to appease her they followed her instructions, which took even longerIt was a third floor aptwith alot of boxes which some of them they had to retapeThere was also disassembley of furniture, a piano, and additional items in a garage around the cornerThey did encounter a little traffic on the commute to the new homeWhen they arrived at the new location and began unloadingAll furniture had to be set in place and reassembledThey were asked to move things around a few times and take all boxes too assigned roomsPlease take in consideration that all this is very time consuming especially when they're stairs involved on both ends*** who's been with the company approximately twelve years and *** a year are very hard working, honest, and respectful gentlemenI did explain to Miss*** that we would try and locate the missing item which was foundAs far as the night stand, we can probably repair itAnd the other items packed by owner are sixty cents per lbThere is a protocol to get the process rollingI would need pictures of damaged items sent to our emailOnce we receive those we can schedule an appointmentWe apologize if you feel our service weren't up to par and we enconvenienced youPlease contact us with any questions you may have.Thank you.*** @ ABC Movers

Revdex.com:  I am deeply troubled with the response of ABC movers reguarding the one bedroom apt at both ends'I dispute the following items/1. I never kept them from moving anything or asked what it would cost for additional coverage. I did not know if [redacted] would agree to 65cd on the dollar, because it seemed small that we had to move that day , so I signed.2. I never gave them instruction on how to load the van or insisted on so called doing it my way, I was in the apt the whole time .3. they did not have any tape in their possession and did not retape any boxes. any time.  they brought up to the apt only wrap for the bureau and dresser.4.only disassembly was queen size head board and foot board.5. pianio was in the garage, so no stairs was used, and we were charged additional $50.00  for it .6. They know about the piano, love seat, queen size mattress and foundation in the garage before hand , we did not spring it on them.7.nothing was reassembled because we used   the queen size  foundation  and mattress in the new apt.  the bed frame and its matress was put against the wall in the garage unassembled because it was being sold.8. every box was marked for bedroom , kitchen , and living room. because I thought that was what movers do, and [redacted]'t pile everything up in one room.9. We ask them to move a bookcase how the wall so  the tv and its stand would fit, also the piano so the love seat would fit on the opposite wall, it may have taken an additional 5 minutes, the apt is not that big.10. The new apt  had one flight of stairs to the bed room, a bureau, chest of drawers , table for computer and night stand was taken up there.11. [redacted] has not been informed the missing pieces were found, WHY NOT ??????12, as for the night stand , when [redacted] called [redacted] out of the apt to see the damage when he dropped it , [redacted] asked "what happens now, "   [redacted] stated " he had to call his boss and it would be taken out of his pay.  13. we went  with better business because [redacted] contacted ABC mover and he said "they would not do anything"14 They knew exactly what they were moving because [redacted] initally contacted them she was asked , what item she had that would break, they also knew it was a 3rd floor apt.15.  In this day and age  people express themselves, college students move all the time , if abc movers come up in conversation, we will tell people to get in writing them  tod get in writing the amount of time to move and the total cost, and to take pictures of all boxes and record the moving process itwelf, and that was what we have expierenced will not happen to someone else, if asked why we told them we will give an honest accout the we were not treated faily.

I am rejecting this response because: In previous reports, we expressed disappointment of being ignored and customer service not provided following numerous attempts by telephone, texts and emails in resolving this issue.  Not until Revdex.com stepped in to mediate the situation were we able to express our views.  For this we are grateful!  We followed the rules laid out by ABC Movers and acted in fairness toward the company.  Not only did we pay the bill in full (even though there were damages to the grandfather clock and other items) but we also went over and beyond by paying additional gratuity to three movers as explained in previous response.  It is right that we request this small amount of $310.68 ... no more or no less.  Please send a check to [redacted], [redacted]

Yes we truly apologize for the chime. It had a small indention less than a quarter inch. But they insisted on getting a new one. I never agreed to replace the full value. We are liable for 60 centc on the pound which would of probably brought the total to around $50 to $72.00 dollars. I emailed her...

and stated I would reimburse her a $150.  She refused. That is more than double what is due to her. I believe that is a very fair offer and still willing to give her that amount.
