Midwest Home Improvement, Jamey said he would replace our picture windows and while he was at it he would replace all drywall and insulation in living room Gave him a deposit to order windows He never ordered them as I personally checked at the company he supposedly ordered them from He eventually came and removed existing drywall and insulation, while we were waiting for the windows After several no show days, his workers placed insulation and hung the drywall The job was so bad as the insulation was stuffed in between the ceiling joists and in some areas where the joist spacing was too wide they put up a 2xperpendicular to hold up the insulation There were large areas with no insulation Drywall had holes in it that they said the plaster would cover up They even put plaster over an electrical outlet because they made the hole too big All the work they did had to be taken out and done over He even made the comment that we shouldn't call a structural inspector regarding the installation of the windows I have photos that detail the extremely poor workmanship

Takes your money and doesn't do the JOB! HE LIES ABOUT EVERYTHING!!!!!!! NOT A TRUST WORTHY PERSON I WOULD NEVER EVER HIRE HIM OR RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!!! LAWSUIT PENDING (WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES WITH THIS EXPERIENCE!!) THE TREND WITH HIM SEEMS TO BE SCAMMING PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR $! LOOK HIM UP BEFORE YOU HIRE!!

Our company was contacted by ms. [redacted] to check her home for damage from a previous storm. I saw what in my opinion was hail and wind  damage. she agreed on my findings and showed me the fence that was damaged also. on the roof I noticed damaged shingles and notified her to contact her...

insurance to have an inspector come look at the damage.  in the meantime the insurance gave the ok to install a tarp to prevent any water damage that might occur with the impending rain. on first inspection the adjuster inspected the roof along with myself and I relayed my findings to her.  her report found no damage so we called for a reinspect.  the reinspection was done by an independent adjusting company.  they had the tarp removed and reinstalled to inspect under, its usually against our policy to remove any tarps until repairs are being done so that we avoid any damages due to moving the tarp from the existing nail holes.  then the company said the damage was from the tapes. we were in conversations with the insurance company to come to an agreement until ms. [redacted] told midwest home improvements that she was handling this situation directly.

Midwest Home Improvement, Jamey said he would replace our picture windows and while he was at it he would replace all drywall and insulation in living room. Gave him a deposit to order windows. He never ordered them as I personally checked at the company he supposedly ordered them from. He eventually came and removed existing drywall and insulation, while we were waiting for the windows. After several no show days, his workers placed insulation and hung the drywall. The job was so bad as the insulation was stuffed in between the ceiling joists and in some areas where the joist spacing was too wide they put up a 2x4 perpendicular to hold up the insulation. There were large areas with no insulation. Drywall had holes in it that they said the plaster would cover up. They even put plaster over an electrical outlet because they made the hole too big. All the work they did had to be taken out and done over. He even made the comment that we shouldn't call a structural inspector regarding the installation of the windows. I have photos that detail the extremely poor workmanship.

Review: [redacted] of Midwest Home Improvements stated there was wind and hail damage at the property in Racine. He worked with Insurance (Acuity) and stated there were damages on the roof. Adjuster advised to protect the roof from causing any further damage. [redacted] of Midwest Home Improvements then proceeded with nailing tarps on the roof (over 100 nails).

Once third party inspection came out to validate the damages, Midwest Home Improvements had to take tarps off. Inspection company concluded no damages and that the tarps that Midwest Home Improvements nailed caused significant damage to where the roof now has to be replaced due to the significant damages that were caused.

I have attached a copy of the inspection report from the Insurance Company stating the damages that were done. Attached are photos as well as letter from third party roofing company stating damages that have occured.

Midwest Home Improvements is stating they are not liable for the damage because authorization from Acuity Insurance Company was authorized. Acuity Insurance company authorized to PROTECT the home, not to create further damage.

I had no authorization in any tarps - this is between Insurance company and Midwest Home Improvements.

Insurance Acuity Contact is:

Field Claims Representative

ACUITY, A Mutual Insurance Company

[redacted]@acuity.com

Acuity finds Midwest to be liable for the damage to the roof structure due to the installation of the tarps.

I am not getting any emails or phone calls back from Midwest Home Improvements. I now have damage and no one is taking responsibility forDesired Settlement: I have an estimate from a local roofing company for the replacement of the roof.

The total cost is estimated to be $10,300. Roof needs to be replaced as soon as possible as there is already further issues that have arised from the tarps being nailed down. I have leaks coming in and have had an on going issue for 3 months. I need to replaced roof as soon as possible to prevent further damage

Review: I contacted Midwest to repair my Driveway in early June. We agreed on a price and I paid the requested half down before work started with the promise the job would be completed before the 4th of July because I was having a family get together at my house. He than proceeded to sub-contract the work but instead of giving them the money I gave him, he paid them with a check from his business account that bounced so they stop working on my driveway and left it in total disarray as well as a safety hazard for my Kids and Grand Kids. He gave me numerous excuses including having his bank account frozen due to employee theft as the reason why the funds were not there, which I have now learned was the same excuse he used a year ago to another customer. I went to the office numerous times and no one is never there and I've had to call and or text numerous times before he responds but only with more excuses.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund so I can hire someone to correct and finish the project.

Review: On November 3, 2014 we contracted with [redacted] of Midwest Home improvements to install a roof. The work was to be completed by the end of the year. We were changing a flat roof to a pitched roof. It is now June 30th and we still don't have a completd roof. We have EXTENSIVE water damage and even a collapsed ceiling. He has given us every excuse there could possibly be. At this point the roof has only been framed and sheeted and there has been no work done to the roof in the last month. The contractor will not answer calls or texts. He was almost paid the total amount due. He is an out and out liar that his word means absolutely nothing.Desired Settlement: I need to have the roof finished, but at this point I know I can't trust the contractor and I am doubting his ability to do the work that we contracted. But getting the roof completed is the goal so we don't get even more damage.

Review: this company has been promising to redo my roof for well over a month and a half no curtasy calls if I don't call and bug him no updates most of the time no answer also lying about the insurance check wich he bugged me for 3 days after he got the check everything change till this day he says the bank froze his account and wont release the funds to him very unprofestional I would let him roof a dog houseDesired Settlement: I want full refund in the amount of7,142.70 and take back the materials that's been sitting for over 2 weeks and I want it right now!!!!

Review: Midwest Home Improvements was hired to repair a roof flashing that was leaking on a sunroom attached to my home they were also supposed to remove and replace the interior drywall ceiling in that sunroom. The drywall ceiling was replaced on 8/1/14 and Midwest was paid in full for the repair at that time. They did not return to paint the ceiling as agreed to in their contract and also did not repair that leaking roof flashing. I had made several calls to the companies owner ([redacted] - cell number ###-###-####)to get them to finish the job they were hired to do but was told they would return as soon as they could and still have not to this date 12/3/14.Desired Settlement: I would like to get refunded the money I paid them less the drywall work that they did do so that I can get the roof flashing repaired to prevent water from leaking on the repaired ceiling,
