our crew suffered a loss of power steering pump and power steering gear box in a rural area, out of cell phone coverage. By the time they walked to an area where they could call a tow truck, get a ride back to the officeand transfer equipment to another vehicle, it was 11:30 am. Mr. [redacted] calls were not returned during this time because wedid not have anyone in the office during this period.Mr. [redacted] had made several phone calls to our office and sent two emails. By 11:03 am, Mr. [redacted] had left several hostilemessages, and sent two emails, “Firing” us from the project and asking that we make no further contact with him. So wecanceled the project and made no further contact.Had Mr. [redacted] been patient, our crew would have been on site by 11:45 am. It should be noted that Mr. [redacted] was toldthat:- He did not have to be there for our crew to do their job.- That it would take several hours, and most likely, two trips to the field to complete the project (meaning theproject would most likely not be completed on same day it was started). It should be noted that Mr. [redacted] has not complained about our fees. Our fees were $600 payable in advance for the work.Mr. [redacted] renegotiated the fees several time until it was $30 down when the crew arrived, and $30/month until paid in full(with no interest unless payment was late). We strive to work with all of our clients, including Mr. [redacted], and would have worked with him to make things right, had hegiven us the chance. As far as resolving the issue, Mr. [redacted] has asked for us to cancel the project and not make any further contact with him, andwe have done that.Respectfully,[redacted]Registered Professional Land SurveyorCorporation Registration, [redacted]Letter-
