The primary purpose of the ATV coming in for service was the rear differential was blown up and needed to have all the internal parts replaced A number of the internal parts were on backorder from Suzuki We contacted Suzuki directly and requested parts being next day air shipped once they were released off backorder The ATV rear differential was repaired and the atv was returned to the customer within hours of parts arriving from Suzuki We can not control OEM or Manufacturer availability of parts We did everything we could to get the parts here as quickly as possible

Customer delivered unit to Midwest Motoplex Customer had run unit hours and miles since he picked it up on 04/ Customer stated he had changed the oil but not the filter over the course of that time Unit had hours/miles on it when dropped off Customer has areas of complaint:Unit caught fire: Fire was caused by plastic conduit designed to protect wires coming loose from a portion of the wire harness located under the front portion of the Ranger seat This plastic conduit was separated from the wire harness and due to the driving momentum of the ranger and air traveling thru the body, the plastic conduit swung back and made contact with the engine exhaust manifold The heat from the manifold caused the plastic to melt, dripping hot plastic on the exhaust, and heat shield small sections of the heat shield show burn damage Midwest Motoplex replaced the portion of the plastic conduit that had separated from the wire harness and had become damaged There was no damage to any wires or any other componentsUnit began to run rough, making a loud noise and could not be started Upon inspection of the Ranger, it was discovered that the oil pressure relief assembly (bolt, washer, spring and dowel) was missing entirely from the front portion of the motor This assembly consists of a bolt, washer, spring and stainless dowel pinCustomer found the stainless dowel pin on the front portion of the Ranger skid plate while inspecting the unit with a magnet and mirror prior to bringing it to Midwest Motoplex The assembly is required to be torqued to 20-ft/lbs (approximately hand tight with a 12" hand ratchet) when removed, inspected and reinstalledThis Assembly must be installed correctly in order for the oil pump to be primed and the motor to run as designed by manufacturer The motor was run for hours/miles by customer without issue Midwest Motoplex replaced the oil pressure relief assembly and torqued to 25ft/lbs The oil and filter were changedThe Ranger was then run for hours/miles at varying speeds Push rod cover was removed for inspection and to verify oil flow thru all rods Left and Right cylinder compression was tested and both passed within OEM specification Cylinders were inspected using a bore scope and both look newThere is no indication of unit not operating as designed or any damage to any motor components Ranger starts easy, idles correctly and runs smoothly An additional oil and filter change was conducted (total) As of 6/20, hours/miles of run time has been put on the motor since customer delivered it to Midwest Motoplex without any indication of the Ranger not operating as designed by manufacturer Customer was contacted on 6/and informed of our findings The Ranger is considered to be complete and the customer can pick the Ranger at any time during our business hours Customer informed us that it would be at least a week before he could get back to pick it up

The melted conduit was not replaced and this particular engine does not need the oil pump primed like the owner told me the day he called me and said it was readyEngine seems to run a little rough ad further inspection is being done before I use itOil pressure relief was last touched by Mid West when they built the engineAgain no problems with unit before they serviced it

When I finally got to speak with the manager I explained to him that I would be leaving on the morning of June 16th for work out of townThe manager assured me that he would have everything delivered that morning and the ATV would be back together by noonI waited in their shop until nearly pm and then had to drive hours to AlabamaI unloaded the ATV for the first time on Thursday morning and the rear differential was making the same noise as when I dropped it offIn addition to the problem with the rear differential I noticed that the fan behind the radiator was not working, causing the ATV to run hot and overheat (it was working fine when I dropped it off)Basically I paid over $for repairs that were not done and then hauled the ATV all the way to Alabama for nothingI also want to note that when the manager prepared my invoice he said he would give me 10% off the parts and no tax for my trouble and he didn't do any of it (I have the invoice to prove it)

The reply said they didn't have the staff or equipment that is licensed and insured to pick up my rangerAlso that I can bring it down anytimeReading down the said they will have their trailer back on 6/15/I thought they didn't have a trailer that was licensedBut they will have one on 6/15/They are closed on this dateIf this is true there should be no problem for them to pick it up on 6/16/This is when the shop opens back up for the weekAnd I would like to know why the owner didn't explain this to me on 6/2/He told me he would send someone to pick it upNow he doesn't have a licensed trailer but will have oneI wish he would make up his mindToo many lies from him since this whole thing started back in the spring

The consumer has requested that Midwest Motoplex pick up his machine for inspection. Do to other scheduling conflicts Midwest Motoplex does not have available staff or the equipment necessary that is licensed and insured for the purpose of picking up this customers unit. The customer is
free to bring the machine to our facility at any time or wait until our truck and trailer returns on 6/

Attached is additional documentation for my complaint filed against Midwest Motoplex, ID [redacted].

Customer delivered unit to Midwest Motoplex.  Customer had run unit 13.5 hours and 85 miles since he picked it up on 04/18.  Customer stated he had changed the oil but not the filter over the course of that time.  Unit had 438.5 hours/2885 miles on it when dropped off.  Customer has 2 areas of complaint:1. Unit caught fire:  Fire was caused by plastic conduit designed to protect wires coming loose from a portion of the wire harness located under the front portion of the Ranger seat.  This plastic conduit was separated from the wire harness and due to the driving momentum of the ranger and air traveling thru the body, the plastic conduit swung back and made contact with the engine exhaust manifold.  The heat from the manifold caused the plastic to melt, dripping hot plastic on the exhaust, and heat shield.  3 small sections of the heat shield show burn damage.  Midwest Motoplex replaced the portion of the plastic conduit that had separated from the wire harness and had become damaged.  There was no damage to any wires or any other components.2. Unit began to run rough, making a loud noise and could not be started.  Upon inspection of the Ranger, it was discovered that the oil pressure relief assembly (bolt, washer, spring and dowel) was missing entirely from the front portion of the motor.  This assembly consists of a bolt, washer, spring and stainless dowel pin. Customer found the stainless dowel pin on the front portion of the Ranger skid plate while inspecting the unit with a magnet and mirror prior to bringing it to Midwest Motoplex.  The assembly is required to be torqued to 20-25 ft/lbs (approximately hand tight with a 12" hand ratchet) when removed, inspected and reinstalled. This Assembly must be installed correctly in order for the oil pump to be primed and the motor to run as designed by manufacturer.  The motor was run for 13.5 hours/85 miles by customer without issue.   Midwest Motoplex replaced the oil pressure relief assembly and torqued to 25ft/lbs.  The oil and filter were changed. The Ranger was then run for 1.3 hours/4 miles at varying speeds.   Push rod cover was removed for inspection and to verify oil flow thru all 4 rods.  Left and Right cylinder compression was tested and both passed within OEM specification.  Cylinders were inspected using a bore scope and both look new. There is no indication of unit not operating as designed or any damage to any motor components.  Ranger starts easy, idles correctly and runs smoothly.  An additional oil and filter change was conducted (2 total).  As of 6/20, 4.3 hours/6 miles of run time has been put on the motor since customer delivered it to Midwest Motoplex without any indication of the Ranger not operating as designed by manufacturer.   Customer was contacted on 6/20 and informed of our findings.  The Ranger is considered to be complete and the customer can pick the Ranger at any time during our normal business hours.   Customer informed us that it would be at least a week before he could get back to pick it up.
