We Received Logan's Car With A Complaint of A Oil Leak After Diagnosing Car Technician Found The Valve Cover gasket leaking And Oil Drain Plug dripping As well After A phone call to explain what we had found I asked Logan where he had his last oil changed and he responded with Walmart
and I explained that they may have not replaced the crush ring at the drain plug and needed to return to them and explain what we have discovered and have them fix the issue At the drain Plug in the oil panAfter Logan Gave Us authorization to replace Valve Cover Gasket we performed the work he requested. After a short period of time maybe a week I received a phone call that he was driving his car and the oil light had come on for oil pressure at this time I asked If he checked his oil and he said yes it was a little low and topped it offMaybe a quart low is what he described over the phone to me I explained That the car holds Quarts and should be fineI received another Phone call saying that the car would not start and he questioned whether it would be due to the valve cover gasket that we just fixed and I answered absolutely notHe explained he was going to take it to a shop where they could try and figure out why the car would not start the engine was turning over but not starting is how it was explained to meAfter A short Conversation with Logan and After he took it to the shop in Hayward he was told that the motor had no compression I explained that in no way doing a valve cover gasket on top of the Motor would cause a no compression situation and that I would like to check my work and further investigate and confirm no compression at all cylindersOnce again Logan kept asking that the motor damage was a result of our work for the Valve cover gasketI asked Logan to have the Vehicle brought to my shop so I could confirm our original repairs and to look at any oil leaks around Valve cover gasket and there was no oil present Moving forward we did a compression test and contacted Logan to communicate what we had Found and move towards a resolution which would be to replace the MotorWith A new Used Low Mileage UnitWe talked several times on the phone trying to explain to him that our valve cover repair job was not the cause of his Engine failure and was not sure why engine failed but would pull oil pan to see if there was any sludge and or debris in the oil pickup tube for oil pump there was noneKeep in Mind Logan just purchased this car recently and had no records of any service on Car I ask this question Because I wanted some History to try and try and get to the reason this engine failed so abruptlyHe provided me with No history and said he just bought the carAfter several phone conversations and waiting roughly weeks for him to make a decision on putting a new Motor in we agreed I gave him a estimate and we verbally agreed to swap out Motor for A New Used Motor with low miles After Performing The engine swap and Tearing into his old engine the technician noticed that the lower chain tensioner had failed And this caused motor to go out of time causing the no start no compression issueWhich I clearly explained and showed Logan the part which I still have in my possession when he picked up his car after the engine swap was completeUpon delivery of his car I explained his warranty only covered the engine parts only no labor and if he could bring the car in after a few hundred miles of driving or first oil change to re inspect everything and perform a oil change seeing that was a used engineThe technician drove the vehicle about miles after we completed job to make sure there were no leaks and to make sure the car drove and shifted wellEverything checked out and called customer for pick upAfter about weeks after delivering the car he called and was concerned that the car would not start after he filled it with fuel drove the car to Madison I believe I told him that it would be tough to diagnose over the phone and try to get the vehicle to a shop to figure out what had happenThe next week I received a call from Logan stating that the fuel line broke or burst and that he paid to repair this at that time I said ok and to send me the Number of the shop that performed the work so I could talk to the technician about what he found and fixedI asked for the Phone Number for the which I called and no return call was ever received from the shop that fixed the fuel line After Another week I called Logan And Explained that I would take care of the Fuel line and to please call me also explained that I never received a call from shop that repaired the fuel But I told him and called and left a message for Logan that I would take care of these charges and to call meI am More than willing to take care of the bill from the fuel lines and make this right for Logan as I explained to him

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
Logan *** "Bob, I got your voicemail. Thank you for reaching back out. I appreciate the response. I contacted the Revdex.com because I was starting to sense that I was never going to see a dollar or the gas line repair or any other action. I left countless voice mails and sent many emails with no response. I noticed a what appeared to be oil pooling in the engine and took the car to a VW dealership to have the car inspected. I am not going to leave a bad review or anything like that, I just want to get the gas line reimbursed, which I realize you said you would do and appreciate and fix whatever else is wrong with the car. I have attached the findings of the inspection. I realize this is a dealership and that some of the items they listed have absolutely nothing to do with the engine (tires), but I would like the rest addressed. In the end, all I want is the reimbursement for the gas line and to be ensured everything else is in proper condition. I have attached the list of findings from the dealership. I have cancelled the case with Revdex.com based on your voicemail about reimbursing for the gas line and making things right. Thanks,Logan"
