Midwest Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Reviews (2)

My son had his wizdom teeth extracted last week by Yash K. S[redacted] DMD, MD. He did an amazing job adressing my many concerns and was extremely personable. He did an outstanding job on removing my son's wizdom teeth and the healing process is turning out much better than ever anticipated. He even called the evening after the teeth extraction to see how my son was doing. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He is brilliant and his precision with the extractions is second to none.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 11, 2016/10/05) */
Without going into too much detail regarding this case, and due to HIPPA regulations, the expense for this account increased due to the patient wanted to be put under anesthesia.
The expense of [redacted] is for the expense of removing 4 wisdom...

teeth. At the time of consultation with the doctor, it's discussed then if the patient wants to be put under, or receive locals. The expense of [redacted] was to cover the cost of general anesthesia.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 13, 2016/10/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I understand that there was a charge for anastesia. What I don't understand is:
A. When I was handed the bill post surgery, I said is this my final bill and I was told, YES.
B. When I called to question my refund amount, it took 3 people and HOURS of research before someone came up with the EXCUSE that it was an accounting error.
C. The claims that have been submitted not only to my dental but also now my medical insurance do NOT match the amount that the office is claiming is the total.
I 100% feel that this is a bogus excuse and feel like they are ripping me off. If in fact this was an accounting error, I should have been notified by the office at the time it was noticed and it should not have taken hours for them to come up with the story that the bill I was given was "wrong." I would like my refund.
