[redacted] called us out to look at his roof and we met him and met his insurance adjustor and got them to pay for his roofHe chose a different color than what he currently had( He chose the color Amber which is only available in an architectural shingle which we typically sell for $20/sq more than tab that he currently has.) The sales rep nor [redacted] noticed that is not available in a tabWe scheduled and moved the job several times and only once we chose a date and I went to order the materials I realized that it was not available in the cheap tab only in the arch shinglesI called [redacted] and let him know that we could put the same color on that he has for our contracted price but if he wanted the Amber price it would normally be $more to upgrade to the better shingle than he had but since it was a mistake on both our parts by not noticing that we would do it at costAt that time he said he had he would like his deposit of backOur contracts clearly state that the deposit is non refundable after daysWe are more than happy to put the tab shingle(that was contracted) on his roof for the contracted price, he would just need to choose a color that is available in tabs

I am rejecting this response because:We were shown color options for the shingles We chose one of the colors shown shown to us How would we know it wasn't available in the 3-tab? The response from Midwest Roofing contains a poor attempt to place blame on us for not knowing what color of shingles were available The contract allowed a certain number of days to cancel If we were told the color we chose was not available, we would have cancelled within that period Based on the phone discussion I had with Josiah when I asked for a refund and the poor response to this complaint, I would not care to do business with this company

We've been to this house multiple times to clean their gutters and collecting different things for freeThey left the gutters full of leaves and call us whenever they're not flowing correctly - as far as we can tell, it has nothing to do with
how the gutters are hungWe tried running a hose through the gutters and they are flowing just fineWe told them the leak on their front porch is a design flaw in the porchWe said we should put shingles on the porch and they wanted it their way, so that's how we did itThey have been having issues with it for a while, which we warned them about before the work was even doneWe have told them things that need to be fixed, and how they should be fixed, and they want it changed their way, though that will result in it not working again

I called [redacted] and let him know that we could put the same color on that he has for our contracted price but if he wanted the Amber price it would normally be $460 more to upgrade to the better shingle than he had but since it was a mistake on both our parts by not noticing that we would do it at cost. At that time he said he had he would like his deposit of 500 back. Our contracts clearly state that the deposit is non refundable after 3 days. We are more than happy to put the 3 tab shingle(that was contracted) on his roof for the contracted price, he would just need to choose a color that is available in 3 tabs.
