Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Company is providing misleading information in regards to the package shipment criteria They suggest a 40lb package shipment, whereas mine was 20lbs, the dimensional weight was based on 53"x16"x16" which would have been significantly smaller than the size the mentioned, and not needing unique large shipment requirements Even based on not receiving a discount, this shipment was to be far less than they indicated, and the main source of complaint was that I was overcharged for a shipment method which was not indicated FREIGHT service was sold to me, and the process for freight handling and delivery was explained at the time of order The process of working with the local freight company was explained, as well as being told it could not go [redacted] based it being a fuel tank Instead I had a packaged wrapped in black plastic shipped via [redacted] which also incurred some light damage as a result, which had to be modified on my end In the end, it was again the wrong shipment method that was discussed and documented in the invoice, and very obvious they the company realized they could try and get away with making a few extra dollars by sliding it through ***, and decided to take that route instead of following through with the shipment method as originally sold Regards, [redacted]

On Thursday, 1/the Customer contacted myself, the salesman for Midwest, and purchased an ECM
white;">On the same day, the Customer contacted me after hours and asked for a tracking numberI advised him that it was not ready to ship but would call him when the unit was pulled and ready to ship, it would most likely be either Friday afternoon or Monday morningAt no time was he told he would have a tracking number the same day that he ordered. Customer sent me a text Friday afternoon and asked for the tracking number, I called the customer but he did not answer. While checking with the warehouse on the progress of the ECM being pulled and ready to ship, I received another text message saying that "If I do not get a tracking number by 4PM I will stop payment and let my credit card company know you are committing fraud." I replied, "You did not ask if I could have the product shipped in hoursWe have too many people who get the product and then dispute their credit cards and I do not like to conduct business that way." I then told him that "if he was unhappy with my service we could cancel the order immediately and he could locate the product through someone else" He then said "good, cancel and make sure my money is refunded and threatened me with "I will see if it is not completed." Customer was very nice when ordering the part, but as some customers do, became extremely aggressive after ordering and very demandingIn this industry we are at the mercy of dissembling parts and getting them prepared for shippingThis process takes time locating the correct model, pulling the product from the vehicle and preparing it for shippingI tried to contact the customer on several occasions but he would not take my calls and would only become rude over text messages Midwest refunded his money right awayI notified him of the return and also sent the credit paperwork to his email
Due to the numerous number of shipments by Midwest Transmission through ***, our rates with *** are discounted
Mr*** was aware of the freight charge at time of purchase, which was given to Mr*** at that discounted rate
Please see attached *** breakdown of
freight costs for the average consumer, using his information for the shipment, which can be pulled up on ***
The charge would have cost Mr*** $had he set up the freight and paid for it himself
Per the previous attached quote from [redacted], which shows the weight at 30 lbs, not 40 as Mr. [redacted] stated. The rate with [redacted], without the discount of MWD is $203.48. A quote from [redacted] is now attached showing the cost to an average individual for the same shipment, which does not go by dimensions. The quote from [redacted] is $357.57.
Mr. [redacted] was charged $150 for the freight, which is lower than either above quote. He was informed of this amount prior to shipment going out.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait until for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Ms. [redacted] did purchase an engine and had it installed by one of the mechanics we use.
Once the installation is complete the cost of the fluids, thermostat, gaskets etc....
are added to the invoice. Ms. [redacted] was aware of this. Partial payment for the engine and install were made in 3 payments. After the installation was complete Ms. [redacted] was contacted to pick up her vehicle and pay the balance. Her balance was $430 plus $183.55 (fluids, etc), totaling $613.55.
According to Ms. C[redacted], she was contacted by the salesman who told her to bring $300 cash and he would call it even. She met the salesman at her car and handed the money over through the window of her vehicle. She also claims he told her "if anyone from the office calls...don't answer". So she didn’t.
As Ms. [redacted] drove out of the parking lot I questioned why she was leaving without paying the balance. I immediately called Ms. C[redacted], who, in her words, purposely did not answer.
Our Salesman disagrees with this scenario and states that Ms. [redacted] is fully aware of the balance due.
Ms. [redacted] has stated that she is a business owner and would never let something like this happen….yet, she admits to underpaying a bill in cash handing it through a vehicle window in the parking lot and ignoring any calls from Midwest…and she calls the salesman a thief?
Mr. [redacted] contacted Midwest, for the first time, with an invoice from a company stating that he had work done on his unit with expectations of reimbursement. I have explained to Mr. [redacted] that if there were any issues with his unit, he should have contacted Midwest first, with whom he...
has the warranty with. We did not, in any way, refuse to uphold our warranty with him. We did explain that he could not just take his engine somewhere, have work done on it and THEN contact us to let us know that there was even a problem and for reimbursement. As with any company that you have a warranty with, they are the ones that you would contact to find out how to resolve it.

Company is providing misleading information in regards to the package shipment criteria. They suggest a 40lb package shipment, whereas mine was 20lbs, the dimensional weight was based on 53"x16"x16" which would have been significantly smaller than the size the mentioned, and not needing unique large shipment requirements. Even based on not receiving a discount, this shipment was to be far less than they indicated, and the main source of complaint was that I was overcharged for a shipment method which was not indicated. FREIGHT service was sold to me, and the process for freight handling and delivery was explained at the time of order. The process of working with the local freight company was explained, as well as being told it could not go [redacted] based it being a fuel tank. Instead I had a packaged wrapped in black plastic shipped via [redacted] which also incurred some light damage as a result, which had to be modified on my end. In the end, it was again the wrong shipment method that was discussed and documented in the invoice, and very obvious they the company realized they could try and get away with making a few extra dollars by sliding it through [redacted], and decided to take that route instead of following through with the shipment method as originally sold.

I spent weeks looking for a reasonably priced transmission and transfer case for my truck. Everywhere I looked someone was giving me some ridiculously priced quote. Then I came across Midwest Transmission Distributors and they were able to find me what I was looking for within minutes. I would most definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a transmission or engine.
[redacted] invoice is attached showing our warranty information.[redacted] purchased a used transmission. He was offered the opportunity to purchase a remanufactured transmission which would be like new. He refused and purchased a used one. Even a used transmission is checked out before shipping. Anytime you purchase used, there is a chance there could be problems. That goes for Anything. A standard 90 day warranty was given to [redacted]. Had there been any issues with the transmission during the warranty period, we would have upheld our warranty and fixed it. Unfortunately, it was not within the time frame of the warranty. If the transmission was not up to standards as [redacted] is accusing, it would not have lasted the 90 days and would have been detected by the Certified Mechanic who had installed it.A standard warranty for used automobile parts is 90 days. A remanufactured warranty is for 1 year. The mileage is determined by the speedometer on the car that the transmission was pulled from. The Supervisor did not tell [redacted] that there was no way of telling what the mileage is on a unit.
I purchased an engine from Midwest Transmission and talked to one of the sales representatives. They were very polite and extremely helpful! After a few long informative phone calls I purchased the engine and had it shipped to me within a few days. It works great! I could not of asked for a better experience.
BUYER BEWARE! Physically inspect in person anything you are thinking of buying from Midwest Transmission Distributors. Make sure to get everything in writing and read all fine print. Recently I purchased what was supposed to be a "complete liftout" Vortec 5.3 engine with transmission. I was provided with a VIN number and a picture of the engine which I was told, "was still in vehicle." I did a vin check to find out that it reflected that it was a 2005 Silverado with close to 70k miles on it. The day of delivery, I got a call saying that "we had to separate the transmission from the engine when we pulled it out." In fact, salesman put "mechanic" on the phone to explain situation. All said, the engine, transmission, and gas pedal all arrived on a broken pallet and hardly appeared like the fresh pullout described. they also had stock numbers painted on the components. Additionally, the O2 sensors were cut off and in a box along with yet another vintage MAF and no air filter ducting as promised. At time of sale I was assured the O2 sensors would be still attached to assembly. In the end, I took pictures and numbers to two dealers who both confirmed that this engine and ECM was from a 2004, the transmission from a 2002 and the gas pedal yet from another vintage. They also showed that it would have come out of a "summit white" vehicle and the picture showed it was clearly a different color all together. Upon these discoveries I was totally unsatisfied with purchase and I wanted to return it immediately for product quality issues. There was an uncomfortable phone exchange with the once pleasant salesman and I was surprised by a female voice (as I was unknowingly put on speakerphone). She argued and spoke over me and she (in an unpleasant tone) wanted to know "what difference it made that these parts were not from same vehicle as long as they would be compatible?" I explained the obvious- that this is not the product I paid for and that it made a big difference whether the vehicle has 70k or 150k miles on it! There is a clearly obvious difference in value and integrity of product. She never identified herself and I wanted to know who I was speaking with and was not answered. Ultimately, she told her salesman to take the engine back and it appeared the phone was hung up. There is a big difference between the pleasant sale and after purchase should anything be not quite right. Issue resolved: Got full refund, but not without a hassle---- When asking for refund, they wanted 25% restocking fee and the delivery fee for the return. Again, buyer beware! Get delivery and pick up signed for. This would have been really difficult if I weren't local and there was interstate freight and independent carriers. Read all the fine print for restocking, core return (up to $1000) and remember that whatever warranty is provided would most likely be void if you parts or engine were installed by anyone other than a certified mechanic. I am not satisfied because the salesman told me the transmission had 50k or 70k miles on the transmission. And the supervisor told me there is no way if them knowing how many miles are on there transmissions when they receive them. So why would a salesman tell a customer that? Transmissions do not usually go out at 50-70k miles. For a company to sell a transmission to last 90 days or 180 days, the transmission should not go out for the amount of money I paid for this transmission. I think they made a sale with a transmission that was not up to standards. And I was provided with false information by the salesman the day of purchase.
