Review: I was discharged from Beth Isreal Hospital on [redacted], NYC on 05/**/13. I was transported to Dr. Susan McKinney Nursing Home and Rehab at [redacted]. I rec'd a bill for the service in the amt. of $175.00. I think such charge is unfair as there was no discussion about my liabilty of such an amount. I have Access-A Ride. Additionally, there were three other adults,one in a wheel chair and two who two accompanied the patient, being transported as well.Desired Settlement: I was fully alert. A discussion about charges should have taken place before transport done and one that factored in the multiple stops.

I have read the complaint against us from [redacted] filed on 7/*/2013 and have looked through our files on the date she received service, 5/**/13. We did take Ms. [redacted] from Dr Susan Smith McKinney Nursing home to Beth Israel Hospital on an emergency via ambulance. From there her insurance carrier was billed her co-pay which is why she received the bill for $175. After that we did not service Ms. [redacted]. We did not take her from the hospital back to the nursing home. It sounds like it was an ambulette service seeing as there were other people in the vehicle. We do not have any ambulettes at our company only ambulances. Ms. [redacted] was billed appropriately for the service we provided on 5/**/13 from the nursing home to the hospital.
