I am writing regarding Complaint# *** (***) regarding the response received by Bob Meisch. First the reason *** Masonry was used was because when I called MrMeisch and left a message that I needed his mailing address he did not provide me with itThus I called a friend who provided me with this name and addressSince MrMeisch responded to this it appears there is a connectionWhy if he had clean hands would he not provide me with an address as I requested? Second- As far as being advised the driveway had to be back filled is ludicrous, MrMeisch was informed that I was totally disabledThus there is no way to think I could perform that workWhat company does part of the job and not the whole job? Now MrMeisch has given me the answerWhen he came over to view the problem he never even mentioned the edges were not even back filledThird- When MrMeisch looked at the problem he did in fact say he would fix it for $ 100-I told him to think about it as I was going on a trip and when I returned I wanted to discuss the problem with himI was concerned my neighbors driveway that was completed one week before mine had no cracks whereas my driveway had several cracksThe neighbors driveway was done by a different companyPrior to MrMeisch beginning the driveway he did say if anything went wrong he would warranty it for a "few years"Forth regarding the amount of the proposals and what my neighbor "said" is crazy. I did contact concrete specialists who informed me for the multiple and large cracks that the concrete did not contain the correct amount of concreteIn summary I am not the "Concrete Professional" with more than years of experience that put in two driveways both of which crackedWhereas my neighbors driveway that was installed one week prior by another company did not crack. *** G***

Please see attached for an additional document. This is in response to the complaint filed with the Revdex.com on 8/12/2015 at 3:02:32 PM under ID [redacted]. The first item that needs to be addressed and corrected is the company name this has been addressed under. [redacted]...

[redacted], Inc. is a commercial company that did not perform this job in question. If this does not get removed from this file immediately in writing, my attorney will be contacted. On or about 08/05/2014, two concrete driveways were installed to the property owned by [redacted] at [redacted]. This work was done by Miesch Masonry, a residential company only. See attached proposal in question. On 6/23/2014, Mr. [redacted] received a complete written proposal, which clearly shows the Miesch Masonry logo. The written proposal provided an explicit explanation with details of what the complete scope of work to be performed was. If it is not listed on my proposal, I do not do the work.   Mr. [redacted] did not see the need in signing this proposal, and obviously has thrown it out his copy.  I advised Mr. [redacted] that the edges of the driveway would need to be backfilled so as not to create a drainage problem. Mr. [redacted] was advised this was his responsibility. This was not done. As a result, this past winter when the snow was piled over the edges of the driveway and with the extreme cold weather, that area heaved. That is why the crack occurred.  When I was notified of the crack, I advised Mr. [redacted] I would take a look at it. No promise of a repair or a quote of a price was ever given. I have been in this business for more than 30 years and my practice has always been the same. No matter what the job is that I am looking at, I have never, nor ever will, give a price out without a full review of what the job will take. At that point I write a proposal for each and every customer so that both parties are in agreement of the job to be done.  On the proposal Mr. [redacted] was given, there is no warranty listed, if there was, it would be for a specific timeframe, not just the "first few years". As stated above, there were two driveways done at Mr. [redacted]'s residence. That was technically two jobs, two proposals. I do not know how the price of $9,266.00 is arrived at, as that portion of proposal was originally for $4,471.00, which was revised to $4,296.00. Just for some added details- on my original price's Mr. [redacted] was given, I was advised it was way higher than other quotes he had received. If I wanted the job, I would have to better my price. I did lower my price only to find out from his neighbor that my original price was $14,000.00 less. Yes, that's correct, $14,000.00 less than his other quotes. Clearly Mr. [redacted] is in the business of pitting people against each other to get something for almost free again.  In the same neighborhood, I have done 3 other concrete driveways. They were all done with the same written proposals, and same scope of work. There have been no complaints.  I did all the standard practices for this concrete pour as laid out in my proposal. I even contacted the concrete representative, [redacted], to go to the residence and meet with Mr. [redacted] to give his opinion. I was not at the residence at the same time. I was contacted by the representative after the meeting and he told what he expressed to Mr. [redacted]. First off, no one warranties concrete, as it is made to crack. The crack was caused by the extra heavy frost this past year. He responded to the "no air in the concrete" wish was suggested by other concrete professionals to be incorrect. If there was no air in the concrete, that would cause flaking of the surface, not a crack. (I also can provide the delivery slip of the concrete that shows air was in the mix). He said he told Mr. [redacted] the job looked outstanding, and that he not only stands behind his concrete that was used, he would recommend me to anyone to do concrete work in the future. I feel this complaint is completely unfounded, and the complainant Mr. [redacted] is solely responsible for the crack that occurred as he did not complete what he was to do. Respectfully,  Robert Miesch
