We are surprised to hear this complaint since we have gone above the ordinary
to ensure this client was taken care ofThe documentation will show thisThe client initially contacted a contract laborer who worked the job to inquire about repairing items she claimed were damaged during the moveThe information was not directed to me in a timely fashionSome weeks passed before Ms*** contacted me, the company's owner whom she initially booked the job withI told her we would come to her apartment to survey the damage and speak with the contractor who handled the jobMy wife and I visited her apartment and repaired a small nick the width of a finger nail and removed and reinserted screws in a cabinet she said was not closing properlyWe left with the door to this cabinet and took it to the repair shop; Ms*** said the glass had been broken during the move although both contractors working the job indicated that the glass was already damagedThe repair shop pointed out that someone had tried to previously repair the door because they had used caulking typically used for a bathroom to re-glue the doorRegardless, we repaired the glass in the door and had all of the messy caulking removed at our expense (note charge on Hancock Bank account for 3-D Glass Company)During our visit to survey the alleged damage, Ms*** noted that the hutch on her desk and an unused TV cart also had been damagedWe told her since the items were made of particle board any repair would not last so we would replace the items to ensure she was satisfiedShe said she did not want any items shipped to her apartment that had to be put together so we told her it might be a couple of weeks before we could get the order placed, delivered and put togetherWe contacted Ms*** three times by phone or text to let her know we were still looking for a suitable replacement for the TV cart because the item was so outdated that it was no longer available in stores; we were checking at thrift shops and yard sales, etcWe also texted Ms*** to inform her that we were delayed in getting back to her due a serious illness (my mother) in Georgia that we had to attend to but assured her we were taking care of herWe returned to her apartment on May She said she had not received any phone calls or text messages from us and my wife said, "Let me show you on his phone where we tried to reach you several timesShe repeated that she didn't receive any calls and declined to look at the phoneOn that date, we installed the repaired glass cabinet door and we delivered two bookcases for storage in her officeShe requested that long tables and other items be moved around as she tried to decide where she wanted the bookcases placedThe furniture in the office was rearranged and we offered to move any other items she needed movedShe went into a closet and asked my son to move some items thereWe told her we wanted to make sure she was satisfied before we left and if not, call us and we'd come backShe said she was satisfiedAdditionally, we wrote her a check for $for "her troubles." We explained to her that it was not typical for our company to damage items during a move and that we felt bad about the situation and wanted to make sure we took care of herThe check, #*** was cashed June (copy attached)After calling the Revdex.com about a complaint email that was sent that we couldn't access to determine the cause of, we learned that Ms*** had placed the complaintWe called twice to speak with her and left a message on June She has not responded to the call or the messageWe have done more than was necessary to take care of Ms*** because our company is based on high standards and integrityIt is regrettable that she did not respond to phone callsPlease let us know if there is anything further required to absolve the matter
