I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]
Regards, CitySide's fairy tales are entertaining when read aloud to the company employees at picnics and team building events However, they are quite the opposite for their customers

April 25, 2015 –
CitySide Homes Sales Agent was informed by [redacted] realtor that the [redacted]
did not want to pay the 100% option deposit for the...

upgraded wood floors until
their existing home closed.  This was the reason why the upgraded wood
floors were not added to the initial purchase agreement.  It is important
to note that the industry standard for earnest money deposits is anywhere from
1% to 5% and CitySide policy of a  2%
down payment on a home or earnest money is on the lower range of the industry
standard.  It is also not uncommon in the industry for homebuilders to
require a buyer to make 100% down payment for all upgrades and not to initiate
work on these upgrades until the down payment is received.
April 27, 2015 –
CitySide Homes Sales Agent notified the [redacted] that the closing date of the
home would have to be moved from May to July because of an unsafe condition
created by the construction of the home next door which adjoined the front
walkway of the [redacted] home.
May 2, 2015 –
CitySide Homes Sales Agent had a discussion with the [redacted] and their realtor
that she was not comfortable with the timeline to install the wood floors and
concerned that the installation could delay the closing.  CitySide never assured the [redacted]
that there was plenty of time to install the wood floors as they claim.
[redacted] realtor stated that they really wanted the upgraded wood floors and
requested CitySide move forward with the wood floors installation.
June 10, 2015 –
CitySide Sales Agent expressed concern once again to [redacted] realtor that she
was concerned that the timeline to closing was too tight to install the
upgraded wood floors.  CitySide Sales
Agent stated that the mortgage paperwork was in underwriting and she didn’t think that any of the numbers on the contract could be changed at this late stage.
June 10, 2015 –
[redacted] close on their existing home and now have funds available to make the
deposit for the upgraded wood floors.
June 15, 2015 –
CitySide Homes receives deposit for upgraded wood floors.
June 24, 2015 –
CitySide Homes did not receive a wood floors status update request from the
[redacted] as they claim.
    June 26, 2015 –
CitySide Homes did not receive a wood floors status update request from the
[redacted] as they claim.
June 29, 2015 –
June 29th was the first time that the [redacted] had requested an update
on the wood floor installation.  CitySide Homes Sales Agent responded with
an installation date of July 1st, with demolition work starting on
June 30th.
June 30, 2015 –
Being uncomfortable with the tight timeline, CitySide Sales Agent contacts
[redacted] asking if the [redacted] would like to halt work and delete the
upgraded wood floors with the concerns of a closing delay.  [redacted]
instructs CitySide Homes to halt work on the wood floors.  The
construction crew already arrived at the home and was stopped by CitySide from
starting any demolition work.  [redacted] inquires with his lender and was
assured by his lender that as long as the appraisal is completed by July 7th,
the [redacted] will be able to close on time.  [redacted] then instructs
CitySide to move forward with the installation of the wood floors.
July 6, 2015 –
CitySide Homes has the wood floor installation complete ready for appraiser.
July 7, 2015 –
Appraiser contacts CitySide Homes Sales Agent and requesting the home be left unlocked
for inspection.  Wood floors have been installed and ready for
inspection.  Unfortunately, the appraiser became ill and was unable to
perform the inspection.
It is our contention that CitySide
Homes was not the reason that the home did not close on time. Even though there
were delays in getting the wood floors installed, the wood floors were
completed in time for the appraiser to do his job and enough time for the buyer's handpicked
lender to do their respective jobs as well. It is not CitySide's role to make
outside 3rd party lenders and appraisers to live up to their commitments. While we
feel bad that the buyers were not able to close on their home when they wanted
to, we are not the party at fault for the ultimate delay in the closing. [redacted]
did not know that their appraiser would get sick and they did not know that
their lender would not have an attorney available to review final documents in
a timely fashion. I know the [redacted] would like to blame someone for this
unfortunate series of events, but we are not ultimately to blame.

CitySide Homes' stands by our original response, that we are not responsible for the delays in closing.  The matter is closed.
