When I offered this as an alternative, he texted "I'm out of town. Won't be back til Friday. I told you I would fix it. But you took it out of my hands." This was a month after they broke it. Get back to you this evening". Aug 20. " sorry, be Saturday night and finish Sunday. Sorry".
