Paid builder for construction of new home, some things were not finished and builder needed to come back to finish. There was stone work that needed to be finished around the inside fireplace. We paid the builder for this stone work in advance, $2,000.00. It was decided by builder that he was NOT going to finish this work. We discussed the refund of the $2,000.00 that was paid to him in advance, he was willing to send us a refund check for the $2,000.00. He has, however, not sent us any refund check and has NOT responded to my call and text message. We would just like our money back now.
Response to a complaint sent in by ***Complaint # ***My name is ***, my business partner is ***, we own Mike &Nate’s Home Improvements LLC. We have been in business for 9 years, we have bothworked in the construction field for 22 years. In our nine years in business we have neverhad a complaint, about our quality, personalities, or our prices, or anything for that matter!We built a house for *** in the summer of 2018, we did therough carpentry, roof, windows, siding, stone work, flooring, and finish work. They wereboth VERY pleased with our work and price! Our final bill was sent to them on November10 th 2018. We did not receive payment of $24,200.00, that was owed to us, until January 17 th2020.When we did receive payment there was an extra $2,000.00 for a stone work to bedone to the fireplace. After such an ordeal in getting the money owed to us, we no longerwanted to do the stone work for them, so we didn’t. Then they kept harassing us to come dothe work or give them their money back. We had every intention of giving them their moneyback, but thought a delay would serve them right. Two months I waited to issue their check.The very next day after sending their $2,000.00 back, I received a complaint report from theRevdex.com.All the while they owed us money, they owed other companies too. All the othercompanies hired lawyers, and tacked on interest, at up to 18%, and lawyer fees. We didnot! Our reward for being courteous and trusting that these people, small business owners,I may add, would pay us, was to be tattled on!End of story, we waited 13 months to receive the money owed to us for servicesrendered, without adding interest. Then when the tables are turned, for a much shorter timeframe, less than two months, we are reported to the Revdex.com. Please any one who reads thisput yourself in my shoes.DO NOT EVER USE

We have received Mr. response and are unhappy with it. He has referenced our business in his reply and our business had nothing to do with the complaint. They were hired to build our new home! Mr. did not respond to our contacting him in regards to our complaint. Only AFTER we talked with the Revdex.com and he received our complaint did he respond and send us a refund check, which at this writing, has NOT cleared the bank. To make comments about our business is very unprofessional and this issue had nothing to do with our business. We only have the highest regards for our customers and top quality customer service. This is a prime example of why we don’t care to do business with them again. Their work was exceptional and we love our house but life can come up with some unexpected issues and they can be out of your hands. This shows you how they deal with the unexpected and become ugly. We contacted they once a week because we were not getting a response from them! What would you do? We did NOT harass them in any way. One call back from them would have solved the problem. It is unfortunate that circumstances arose and they didn’t get paid promptly but they have acted just the same way in returning our refund, when they could have been the better person and sent it back promptly. It took a complaint to the Revdex.com to get a response from them. No Business likes a blemish on their business, and NO reason for Mr. to involve our business in this complaint. He obviously feels an eye for an eye. We feel sorry for them personally.
