Review: Con Artist. We hired this company to do an interior alteration (that was our first mistake), these are all his:1-Failure to follow plans 2-Failure to align walls according to plans. (Unaligned walls)3-Rude and unable to work with client or communicate.4-Installed interior bathroom wall on an angle, as well as studs and door frames.5-Failure to notice egress problem in bathroom.6- Excuses, Excuses, Excuses- that's all he ever has.7- Failure to produce refund in allotted time frame.8- Failure to produce proof of cash payments made by deadline, then when he did get them the next day they were for payments we were not responsible for as the client. 9-Failure to secure studs correctly to beams in ceiling, instead secured them to drop ceiling tiles and their metal strips 10- Did I mention excuses, deceiving, not truthful, Cuts Corners.11- Used 18 GAUGE studs instead of 10, for a commercial kitchen, 2HR fire rated wall.12- Used studs to frame a pass through window instead of track and header.Desired Settlement: $4500- for work that was charged but was not required from GC to do in the first place.$2000- for Cash that Electrician would not sign off on that he was paid.$2500 - for cash given to plumber for work that was never started and permits that were not pulled.$2990- for insurances that when we called GC's Policy Holder we were advised he would not would not have been charged for pulling insurance since he has a policy with them. Total refund - $11990

At this time, I have not been contacted by Mike Building and Contracting regarding complaint ID [redacted].

My Architect, who is also [redacted], said he spoke with him and his lawyer and his lawyer advised that we should have one more go at a mediated sit down. I send a message out in our group message ([redacted] and *) and never received a response. I also sent a copy of the termination letter certified mail to him and have not heard anything. Now, in addition to contacting Revdex.com, I contacted consumer affairs. And now I will be filing a formal lawsuit against his company. Please advise on what the next step should be, thanks!
