[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] I beleave this is a bait and switch on the price to get people in the doorI find it odd that the car in question sells after siting on lot for a extended period of time just when I file the complaint Also to not respond To email days later questioning why price hasnt been corrected.
Regards,
*** ***

We did have an error listed on one of many online listings on the vehicle the customer was interested in , the car price error was explained to the customers. We apologized for the error and made correction to to the advertised price. The vehicle has since been sold and no longer in our inventory....

Again we apologize for the error , since then the vehicle was sold and is no longer available.Sincerely ,[redacted]

Review: Saturday 21 2015 I recently went in to the ford dealer after seeing a real good deal on a car. Listed the 2014 ford focus for $12699 on website . Test drove vehicle liked it a lot but when it was starting to talk price I was told the it was actually 16699. The salesman kind of laugh at us for wanting to have it for that price. We were told it was a misprint on website and would be fix right away so we left . Looked on Wednesday feb 25 to see if it was fixed and it was not emailed them wondering why it wasn't fix wait 24 hours and still no response back there stock #fc4161 have of there website with listed price from the 21st and 25 th showing same priceDesired Settlement: receive car at there advertised price

Review: I purchased a 2012 Ford F150. I was told while in transit there was some damage to the top of the cab. A chain had came loose and scratched the cab. It needed to be repainted and was not a big deal. I am currently trying to downsize in vehicles. I went to another vehicle which told me my vehicle was listed as having frame damage and this made the value depreciate a lot. I recontacted the dealership and they told me the only information they had was the cab was damaged and needed to be repainted. They said there was nothing they could do for me. I explained my concern about the listed frame damage. He asked if I was informed at the time of the purchase if it would have changed anything. I said I would not have bought it. They also provided me with a copy of the paperwork from the auto auction which says it has frame damage.Due to the fact they were not completely truthful with me when I bought my vehicle I am stuck with a vehicle that is listed with frame damage. The vehicle has depreciated a lot in value and I am not able to resell of trade it in with out a major loss on my end. I feel if the dealership had a good reputation and name they would like to keep it and make things right. They told me there is nothing they can do and they disclosed the information they knew when that was not the truth.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund for the purchase price for the vehicle.

RE : Complaint ID # [redacted]

I have a document the buyer signed that explained exactly what the customer was buying, it was clearly listed on the Wisconsin Buyers Guide MV2872 form. They have owned this vehicle for almost eighteen months and since refinanced it with a different lending institution. They financed the full amount of the truck when they purchased it so it will take a long time before they will get close to having equity in it for resale or trade. As the owner of Mike Burkart Ford,Inc. I spent over an hour with the customers wife and showed her all the paperwork and was honest with her explaining the transaction and answered her questions along with giving her copies of the papers her husband signed. I feel that they would like to get out of this truck because we received a call from a wholesaler that was asked to bid on the truck from a dealership in Sheboygan,WI that they shopped at for a different vehicle. I personally feel the customer is out of equity and looking for something that is not reasonable. I have been in the auto business for 39 years and have a very good reputation in our community and with my fellow dealers. As you know you always have two sides to every story, if you like anymore information I would welcome a call at ###-###-####. I told the customers wife we would buy the truck back for the wholesale price if they would like or trade it in on a different vehicle but that would be the best I could offer them.

Sincerely,

Consumer

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

I have read the response to my complaint and I feel he has not addressed my concern. I am far from any type of financial issue. I do not want to get rid of my truck for this reason. It also concerns me that the business see I refinanced with another bank. I feel this is not of their business as this is my personal information. I was also informed they feel a wholesale bidder also bid on a blue truck in Sheboygan that day when I contacted the dealership with my concern. Again the dealership is assuming this information. I was never at these two dealerships with my vehicle.

My concern with the vehicle is they said there was cab and unibody damage. When I asked what that meant, they said there was damage to the top of the cab. I understand the auction may list this damage as "frame" damage in order to cover themselves. I feel the dealership did not show me the actually damage paper work due to the fact they were trying to hide the fact it was listed at frame damage in fear they were not going to sell the truck. If I had saw they frame damage paper work I would not have bought the vehicle.

If the dealership feels I need the money and this is why I am trying to sell my truck. I would change my request from a refund to taking a brand new vehicle of of his lot as an even trade. I believe a brand new truck is worth roughly what my truck would be worth. This would fix my concern with the truck and dealership and show I am not trying to get ride of the vehicle because I need the money. I feel like I was taken advantage of and wish the gentlemen who says he has been in business so many years would stand by his "good" name and make things right. If I new when I bought the vehicle it had frame damage I would not be making any complaints.
