Mike Grbic Painting Corp.

Review: Mike Grbic was hired to do exterior and interior painting. The interior painting he did was less than satisfactory however the job was completed except for the 8 hours promised to do touch up work in other areas of the house. His crew was to start work on the outside of the house but due to Mike being in court being sued, as he has a history (documented online) of not paying his employees, his crew sat in my driveway without paint, supplies and ladders for two days. Mike Grbic not only did not answer my phone calls, he did not answer his employee phone calls either. I tried unsuccessfully to reach Mike Grbic for over two months, he never came to do a final walk through of the interior work his crew did and he was paid in full for. When he was to start the exterior work I paid him 50% of the job which was $4250.00. His men worked for perhaps a total of one or two days and then no one showed up and I could not reach anyone. Finally after having German his foreman call Mike and hand me the phone Mike told me his crew had quit on him. I asked for him to return my money and at that time he was to pick up the 6 or 8 ladders left on our property. He said he had no intention of keeping money that was not rightfully his. Mike has a history of not telling the truth and this was another lie. He has yet to return any phone calls and told us to contact his attorney [redacted] should we want to serve him as he had no intention of returning our money. One can only assume Mike gave us [redacted] information as he lied about living at [redacted] which is around the corner from us as the neighbors told us that they had to call the police and have him removed. We would not be able to serve him as he does not live there. He lives in [redacted] somewhere. My husband and I both contacted [redacted] we were given the impression that he had not been formally hired "paid" to handle this and therefore never responded. As Mike Grbic has a history of being dishonest.

All we have asked for from the beginning is for our money to be rightfully returned and at that time for Mike Grbic to arrange pick up of his abandoned ladders on our property. Mike Grbic lied and said his crew left him because I was yelling at them on the job. I was able to get in touch with one of the painters and the whole crew came and finished my job. They said they left Mike Grbic because he was not paying them and unprofessional. This all happened while I was 8 months pregnant.

Mike Grbic has been contacted numerous times while "actively" employed by us and after it was clear he was not going to show up after cashing our check. It is not surprising to us that he has not responded.
