who installed the tile, the homeowner/general contractor declined to arrange this meeting. Our position remains that the final level and pitch of the shower floor is set by the tile contractor when installing the thin set mortar which the tile is anchored in. If there was a problem with the shower base, the tile contractor should have declined to install the tile until appropriate steps were taken. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Thank you,  [redacted]Operations Manager

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  To address Mike's comment that Ray [redacted] doesn't live in the home is incorrect.  He comes home 3 to 4 days of the week. The shower was paid for by him and we both own the house. No where in his web site does it say he guarantee's his work which is the truth. He won't guarantee his work on our shower. We have a problem with water leaking into the basement which he has witnessed several times when he came to the house.  I have contacted 2 plumbers to find the answer to my shower problem and they both said that that kind of walk in shower cannot work without having the water leaking out.  Why would he sell me a shower that leaks and not tell me.  I would never have purchased it.  It is obvious that he does not want to take responsibility for his work.  I need him to pay back the money we spent for something I did not agree to.  I would never have agreed to a shower that leaks into the basement.   Kathy [redacted] and Ray [redacted]

To whom it may concern:Regarding the complaint filed by Kathy [redacted], we would like to add a few comments. Below is a timeline of our correspondence with Paul [redacted] (step-son) and Kathy [redacted]:We were contracted by Paul [redacted] to perform a bathroom remodel for his father who was in a wheel chair and...

needed special assistance in the shower. We went over the options for the remodel and received approval on our estimate that we sent to Paul [redacted]. We finished the bathroom remodel on 5/18/2015.In May 2016 we received a call from Kathy [redacted] that there was a leak from the shower to the floor below. Mike Ingrilli went out to the property with another contractor on 5/10/2016 at no charge to discuss waterproofing options. On 6/13/2016, Mike Ingririll went out again to the property to replace the trim (customer used abrasive cleaners on the trim that caused discoloration) and brought a sample of the shower base that was used in the remodel to further explain the reasons for using that base. Again, there was no charge for this work.On 7/7/2016, we sent several different options to Kathy [redacted] for further waterproofing since she was still having issues with leaking. She called us on 7/8/2016 and 7/11/2016 to discuss with Mike. She spoke to the office manager and claimed that she wanted Mike Ingrilli Plumbing to pay for whatever option she chose for the waterproofing. She e-mailed on 7/15/2016 to follow-up and called again on 7/25/2016. On 7/27/2016 she called again and told the office manager that she got another plumber to come out and take a look at the work. She stated that another plumber was going to add a shower door (we originally could not install a shower door because it was supposed to be for the husband in the wheel chair [who at this point, does not use the shower anymore according to the son]) and that we are responsible for paying for the shower door and install. She stated that she would send us the bill.On 7/28/2016 Kathy [redacted] filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.On 8/2/2016 Kathy [redacted] called the other contractor that met with her and Mike [redacted] on 5/10/2016 and asked that he come and fix the issue and that Mike Ingrilli Plumbing should pay for the entire bill. In closing, there is more to go over and Mike [redacted] would love to discuss with someone from the Revdex.com over the phone (there is just too much to write; easier to discuss over the phone). Please give him a call at ###-###-#### and he can give more information surrounding the initial remodel set up with Paul [redacted].Thank you for your time.

Review: Mike Ingrilli Plumbing was contracted to build the basin for a new shower and the plumbing which they installed. The pitch for the basin was not appropriate. After tiling and the shower was finished and the water was turned on, water pooled on one side of the shower. Obtaining the opinion of other professionals, it was confirmed that the problem was related to the inappropriate pitch of the basin that was installed by Mike Ingrilli Plumbing.

When the problem was brought to Mike Ingrilli's attention, he emailed me that it was not his problem or issue and the person that did the tiling was responsible.

He did not suggest taking a look to evaluate the problem. He stated he would take no responsibility nor help solve the problem. He responded by saying " Sue me".

I wish only for him to fix the problem. As it stands now, after initially paying over 4 thousand dollars, the shower basin will need to be re-built at our additional cost. And then a new tiling job will be necessary. This is a horrible result and puts me in an awful position to have to pay an additional amount of money to fix a problem that was suppose to be done correctly.Desired Settlement: Repair of shower basin with appropriate pitch and fixing of tile.
