I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Per my conversation with the Revdex.com today, Mike Olsen Painting has not lived up to his agreement to repaint the stucco on my home. The compliant number is #[redacted]. Per the agreement he was to complete the job by September 15, 2015. The last communication I had with him was on 4-9-2015. I have attached the email communications we have been having. Regards, [redacted]
Review: On April 23, 2012,I we entered into a contract to have the exterior of my house painted at [redacted]. The painting began in late June of that year and was finished in the beginning of July. You received the down payment of $1500.00 for the project on or about June 24th and final payment on or about July 7th for $1600.00. You acknowledged full payment on the contract.
Since then I have noticed that the stucco was not entirely covered; the old color of the stucco can be seen. I had noticed in a few areas and than inspected the entire house. I contacted you about this issue, we met last year, in April-May 2014. Before the meeting, I placed blue tape on the areas that did not have complete coverage. You inspected the paint job and after viewing the numerous areas, you confirmed that you needed to repaint the house again because it was not done correctly and up to your standard.
You stated you needed to do it in a down time so we waited; your first estimated date was in July which came and passed without action. When not hearing from you, I called you in August asking when you would start the repaint, at that time you relayed your difficulties with finances. You reiterated that you know that you had to repaint our house but needed to gather money to do the job. When not hearing from you about the start date I contacted you by email on December 22, 2014. In this email I set the end of January as the completion date for the repaint job. In your response you sited illness and financial set backs but assured me again that you would be repainting the house and the job would be completed by the end of January as I requested. When not hearing anything from you again, I emailed you on January 19, 2015 asking for a start date. In response to my email you have now begun to back pedal on your word and assurances of repainting the house.
[redacted] has not keep his word or has honored the written 10 year warranty.Desired Settlement: That [redacted] repaint the house as he has stated he need to,
or
Refund the paid contract money amounting to $3175.00 so I can have the house repainted.
