This posting is highly inaccurate; especially the part about receiving free uniformsMongoose martial arts did make us by uniforms through their dojo at a unfair price mark upThey did agree to dismiss one child's tuition which never was dismissedI am still paying on one tuition which we had agreed on and we are still current withThe other tuition is not being paid on and is still posted on my credit report as negativeMongoose is a martial arts school which does not have a water fountain and does not allow parents to bring water in for their children and makes parents purchase water from the school

To Whom It May Concern: When it comes to the situation concerning Mr*** ***, I find his complaint baselessIn the information I received from the Revdex.com regarding the complaint, it was stated that his contract
started in November and that he requested the cancelation in December This is not true. Mr*** signed his kids up with Mongoose Martial Arts in the summer of 2014. (I would very much like to see the contract stating those datesIs that information that he has provided for you at any time?) It was also stated that the complaint is related to an advertising issue, but I fail to see how the complaint relates to thatBefore joining, every prospective student is given a free trial week. This insures that all students (be they child or adult) like the program enough to commit to the contractMr*** not only brought both of his children in for their trial week, but he also signed a month contract, which came with a free uniform for each child. We also offer a multi program and family discount, which is why the cost of his contract was so much lower than the $4,that it would have been if charged full price for each child(Enclosed is a price list for our various programs.) While signing the contract, each financially responsible party is given a price list for all required equipment as well as the prices for the program of their choosing. (Enclosed, also, is a price list for all of the required equipment/uniforms, as well as pages from the catalog that we/they order from, in case there are other items they may be interested in ie: weapons, specialty competition uniform, novelty t-shirts etc...) To address the issue of refreshments and their pricing: prices are listed on the fridge, out in the open, for everyone to see. It was never brought to our attention that he/they ever had an issue with our pricing. We do not allow outside food or drinks, and the sign advertising that rule is always on display. (Enclosed are pictures of the concession area, where you can see that prices are prominently displayed.) Though we do not encourage anyone constantly going in and out, as it is a distraction to the class, Mr*** was always more than welcome to keep a cooler in his vehicle and bring his children outside for their water breaksAgain, we do not encourage it, but there is always an option, no one has ever been forced to purchase our refreshmentsWe require all students to purchase their fighting gear through us, for many reasons. Our student’s safety is very important to us and we want to make sure that all padding meets safety standardsThe gear that is purchased through Century is A.O.Kcompliant and ensures that the padding is both thick enough to offer adequate protection and soft enough to ensure comfort while being worn. Gear bought elsewhere at cheaper prices cannot make that guaranteeWe also require our students to purchase their gear from us for insurance purposes. If someone gets injured, at any time, while using gear bought elsewhere, we can be held responsible for knowingly letting a student fight/compete with inadequate protectionWhen Mr*** brought it to our attention that he wanted to terminate his contract, negotiations were conducted. He stated that the reason why was because one child was not benefiting from our program, though the other was. He requested that his wife come in place of the child that he wished to pull out of the program, and we agreed. Mrs*** came to a few classes. When he stated that he wanted to completely terminate the contract, he was advised that the contract could not be terminated without penalty. Many times, the agreement must be financially satisfied in full, but we agreed to let him end the contract for half of the cost of the remaining balance. All we asked was that he come in to speak with us in person so we can make the arrangements, and he never showed. We tried repeatedly to contact him with no response. It is very frustrating that this complaint came so many months after their last attending, along with all of the slander. We are a small business and believe in being fair, but he has proceeded to tarnish our reputation, thus potentially causing us future business. We ask that you take all of our information and documents into consideration when committing to a decision. We were in no way trying to hurt, harm or cheat Mr***. We have been operating for many years, with many students at a time and have never come across this issue until now.
