Review: In an invoice #[redacted] dated 9/**/14, Mike P[redacted] charged $2,012.14 for "Double Application" of chemicals and seed which neither my wife nor I had not authorized at all. No prior cost estimate had been submitted verbally or in writing for us to approve. We had signed a contract which itemized costs for March 2014 through December 2014, but the work he did was not listed on that contract. Before signing and returning the contract, we had crossed out the work that he had proposed for Oct. and Nov. and had written "No work after Sept." In addition, I had told him verbally several times that he should do no extra work without first asking for authorization. He did not do this.

I phoned to discuss this bill with Mr. P[redacted]. I told him that we would pay him half the listed amount, only because work had been done, but that this was completely unauthorized work. I also told him that we had paid in full on time every bill each month, but this is the second year in which he re-seeded in full our lawn in Sept. without asking us and without gaining our authorization. He billed us over $1,000 in April for "spot seeding." We paid that bill in good faith, but Mr. P[redacted] has been charging increasingly higher amounts monthly for unauthorized work. We are not home when the work is done.

Today, I see that on Mon., Oct. **, P[redacted] operated a lawn mower to carve random bare spots across our front lawn, damaging its appearance by creating brown dead areas. Mr. P[redacted] has a volatile personality, and my wife and I are concerned that he may deliberately damage our property or cause us harm. We wish to settle any payments fairly owed and then discontinue any contact with Mr. P[redacted].Desired Settlement: Billing adjustment, with P[redacted]'s acceptance of $1006.07, representing half of his billed amount.

P[redacted]'s written agreement to stay off our property, as we are worried about our safety.
