Mike Puskar's Custom Painting

Review: Mr. Puskar failed to abide by the terms of our contract to the fullest extent. Mike conducted a full walk-thorugh of all spaces and saw that we were completing other repairs to our home at the same time we were asking him to paint. We agreed on $1600 for painting 8 rooms in our home. We paid him $300 in advance and $600 more upon the completion of only 2 rooms because he said that he needed to pay his employees and pay for the paint of the other rooms in advance. He completely painted (2) rooms (master bedroom and basement) and 50% painted (2) others (livingroom & diningroom). He told my wife and I that he was having health problems and asked for 2 weeks in order to get better. After 2 weeks, we called him when he stated that he needed 2 more weeks. Now, after a total of 4 weeks, we called and texted and called again but failed to receive any communication from him. When he did finally answer his phone on 8/15/2014, he was VERY aggreesive and stated that he would complete the job when he had time, when his health improved and when his senior paint returned. ("Moises" (A [redacted] national) was back in [redacted] trying to get a legitamate visa becuase he was in the USA illegally) When we stated that this didnt work for us and asked for a refund of a portion of the advance that he was given, he stated "there is no way in hell I am giving you back a penny. You are totally out of your mind if you think I am giving you any money back." When I stated that we need to find someone else to complete the job, he became even more aggressive.Desired Settlement: I know that we will not receive any money back but after keeping our word, it is unprofessional to be treated in this manner. We fully intent to inform others about him.
