I called Mike Scott plumbing because I needed a control board replaced on my hot water heater. I provided the control board. When I called for an appointment, I was told a "certified technician" would be coming to my house to do the work. The only reason I opted to have a "certified technician" do the job was because I was pressed for time and figured he could bang the job out in no time, whereas it would take me much longer to do the job myself. The serviceman arrived promptly at 8:00 and I handed him the board. He asked if any paperwork came with the board and I gave him the installation sheet. He started going through the instructions line by line, and I actually pointed out where certain buttons were on the unit. He changed the board but it was not working properly. He said he needed to call the tech dep't. It was 8:30 and the company did not open until 9:00. I told the serviceman to bill me up to this point and then I would call the tech dep't. myself. He looked at the instructions again and then said he figured it out. He stayed until 9:15 and still could not get the unit working properly. He said the company sent the wrong computer chip, and that was why he could not correct the problem. He then gave me a bill for $155.00; which was $65.00 for the call and then $90.00 for labor. I paid the bill and he left. I called the tech company to tell them they gave me the wrong chip. The tech rep said the chip was fine and walked me through steps that corrected the problem. I was pretty annoyed that the "certified technician" had no idea what he was doing. I called Mike Scott Plumbing the following day to complain and see what they were going to do to make this whole. I was told the supervisor; Addie would get back to me to discuss this issue. Three or four days later, I called back because no one returned my call. I spoke to Addie and she said she would talk to the technician and get back to me. Three or four days later, I called again, because Addie did not get back to me. I spoke to her again, and she said she would speak to the owner of the company and get back to me. I called again on 11/10/15 because she never called me back. I was told they relayed my message to her and she would get back to me. It's now 11/13/15, and I have not heard a word from Addie. It's been 23 days and Addie has never called me once, even after numerous attempts of calling her. So much for the phony advertising that Mike Scott Plumbing is a family core business that cares about 100% satisfaction from all their customers. I would never, ever use Mike Scott Plumbing again, and will tell everyone I know not to use them either.

Two days ago I was contacted by Mike Scott Plumbing in regards to the online submission I made for work to be done in my home. Their return caller told me they would be in my home on Tuesday between 8::00 and 12:00 and would try for as early as possible. As the day slipped away, I became anxious and called to confirm the appointment. The dispatcher, rude, had no clue what I was talking about other than he had the online submission on his desk. He offered to come the next day, but I had rearranged Tuesday and could not sacrifice Wednesday.
