Mike Tateyama

Review: Mike Tateyama has been my lawn maintenance person for several years. When he is "on the top of his game" he does an excellent job. However, in the last two months Mike has failed to provide the weekly service he is paid for (and failed to call me) and has damaged my house due to his use of a weedeater when he trimmed my star jasmine on both sides of my house. When I confronted him about repairing the damage he inflicted he said he was going to charge me labor. In June he failed to provide two weeks of service (June 2-8 & June 16-22) and did not contact me. I texted him on 6/7/13 and received no response. I called on 6/11/13 and the recording said his number was disconnected. Mike finally contacted me the next week to tell me he got a new number.Now in July, Mike failed to come out again (July 7-13) and has not notified me as of today (July 15). He still has not repaired the damage to my house.

I had lost some accounts because they had not paid me for 4mos My phone got shut off I didn't have the gas and I had my lawnmower brake down what tough month. I talk to [redacted] and explain what was happening she had thought I skip town cause my phone recording stated I was out of the area.everything is almost back to normal. I have work for [redacted] for 14yrs nothing like this has ever happen.

Good morning. Mike Tateyama, the owner, did call me in response to my complaint (I thought he would). He was shocked and peturbed that I would file a complaint. However, I explained to him IN DETAIL the reasons why I filed the complaint. I am currently in a watch-and-see mode to ensure that he adheres to our agreement. And even though he did damage the sides (and now the front) of my house, I told him I would repair it. Actually I don't trust him to do an adequate job. I will never refer Mike to anyone else and if he flakes on me one more time, I plan to terminate his services. Thank you for helping me resolve this issue.
