Days after signing paperwork on a trailerMy family and I drove, from San Diego, to complete paperwork, walk through and bring our trailer homeI arrived early so walked through the trailer and wait for our salesman to arriveAs soon as I walked in I noticed wall paper has tears and bubbles in itCuts dents, dings, pencil marks, putty smears all over the cabnetsGrease on floor, vents full of saw dust, cheap cabnets paper peelingI told my sales person now that I can see this trailer in the light, how disappointed I was in the quality of the trailer and what Mike T [redacted] considers ready for deliveryI will not take possession of this trailerMike T [redacted] not having another brand of trailer that would fit my specific needsI told them to cancel this saleMike T [redacted] refuse to give us back our deposit After months of fighting with mike t [redacted] I was forced to get a lawyerWho told me that this sale is not final because I never left the lot with it and by law they are required to pay back the depositWhen the lawyer sent them a letter demanding the deposit Mike T [redacted] finally paid up When Mike T [redacted] says they want to make you happyDon't believe it

on the 23rd of Jan, I bought a new motorhomr from Mike Thompson rv during their rv show in fountian valley On the 29th I drive to the Santa fe springs location to sign paperwork and complete my orientation During that visit, I noted a punch list of items that needed to be fixed on the new motor home, including the fact that I just spent $90k for something they didn't even provide an owner's manual forWhen I took ownership out of state on Saturday, nothing was fixedMonday, I called and left a message, Wednesday I called again and asked to speak to a sales manager I spoke with Todd who said he would have the service manager call me Thursday I got a call from Jim, the road trek expert I met in fountain valley who said he would have Neal in service call me Saturday, I left another message Today, I asked to be connected to service and was put into Eric's (service advisor) voice mail where I left ANOTHER message That was 2: No call back I guess Saturday I will make the hour drive and leave the rv at the Santa Fe Springs store...maybe if I drop the keys on someone's desk and say 'it's yours until you can fix it', maybe someone will do something' One very disappointed customer as you can't get anybody to call you Nevermind I couldn't get a card from my sales guy and of course he wasn't there when I signed all my paperwork and did my orientation days later

Mike Thompson's Superstore in Fountain Valley, CA is a place with which I sadly regret doing business
Their concept of customer service/satisfaction is riddled with constant confusion, excuses, delays, mistakes, ineptness and inefficiency It's ridiculous
Even their general manager John *** is disrespectful, dishonest and has no understanding of what it means to run an efficient business where customer satisfaction is paramount It's obvious, he's a SALESman

Found a motor home on Wednesday, filled out the paperwork, was told that we were approved Salesman brought out a tag with my name on it that they hang in the coach to show that it is sold We gave them a total of 10,for a deposit, supposedly until the coach was ready to go the next day Came in the next day, Thursday, and was told that we were not approved for the loan....no big deal Asked for our deposit back, and they gave us back a check that we had made out the day before, but said that we would have to wait for the other that they took out of our bank account until they had time to take care of it The finance employee that the main office would get the paperwork Friday, but not to look for the credit the following Monday My wife put up a fuss for a short time, to no avail I did agree with her that it was a very poor way to run a business, since they are the ones that requested the money immediately Monday went by, Tuesday went by and today is Wednesday, a full days after the deal...no money in my account I will be getting an attorney involved now

My wife and I went to the RV show in Pomona to just look and dream of owning a new motorhomeWe already own a year old motorhome that has negative equityAs we were looking at our dream motorhome one of the salesmen approached us and asked if we were interested in buying the motorhomeWe told him our situation and that there was no way they could work a deal with the negative equity and the small amount of cash we could put downHe asked for our phone and said he would call us after he talked to his managerWe gave him our number and went homeA few hours later he called and asked us to come back to the show to talk numbers
I am not sure why, but we decided to find out how upside down we were with our old motorhomeAfter explaining our situation and telling them it could not work they had us fill out a credit app to give it a tryAfter an hour or so they cam back and told us they could make it work with $5k down and a traof a couple old carsAfter being reassured by them several times that this was a done deal and that the credit report looked great, we agreed to the deal and signed a contractThey even told us the new motorhome was being delivered in a few days so go ahead and contact our insurance company to have it addedWe left amazed and excited that we had a new motorhome for our retirement years
Four days after signing the contract that is binding on our part, the finance person called and said the bank does not like the negative equity in the old motorhome along with some other debt we had and could we kick in another $10k downMy wife and I offered an additional $5k downThe next day they called back and said we need you to put an additional $30k down to make the deal workWe told them that was impossible and that we were furious with themWe laid everything on the table at the time of the deal and we can't tell how many times they told us when we were doing the paperwork that this was a done dealHad they told us that they weren't sure this would work but they would try we would have understoodWe just feel we were treated wrong, especially since we were the ones that told them this would not workWe can't tell you the let down we felt when they told us
Once they found out we were angry about what we thought was bad sales practices they had a couple of people try to figure something out but to no avail
Through the years we have purchased two motorhomes from Mike Thompson's RV and have referred several people to buy from themI can tell you from now on I will never recommend buying from them again
