6/17/15

Dear Revdex.com,

Mr. [redacted]’s response still
does not address his original (Verbal Quote) $900.00 for 2 painters for two
full days. My Father being present as witness to Mr. [redacted]’s quote. (Which
would be 32 hours) By his own admission, he provided less work than was quoted
to finish job. (31.25 hours) There was no discussion of hourly rate,
but Mr. [redacted] quoted $900.00 for 32 hours of work. I find it interesting,
the original Invoice is billed at a flat rate (attached), however, he provided
a document with an hourly rate breakdown to the Revdex.com. Once again, there is no
explanation as to why the Extra labor charge, in fact his original response was
that a 3rd coat of paint had to be put on doors, now he’s trying to
justify it by an hourly rate which was never discussed.

Being a small business owner
myself, I find this extremely frustrating that a business can’t stand by
original quote (by his own admission, provide less work), and then have different
responses as to trying to justify elevated price. Giving him a price of $234.00
for materials and $900.00 quoted, I will pay $1,134.00 (even though I’m paying
for less labor than quoted)

For the record:

This is not a quality of work
issue, but a price issue with individual not abiding to what was quoted.

Bringing my wife into
situation is irreverent, as I was individual on site that was quoted and gave
the permission to complete job at quoted price.
I was present with
painters, May 13th they were there 8AM to 4:30PM (17 hours),
May 14th, 8AM to 12:30 PM, (9 hours), May 15th, 20
minutes. Once again hours are irrelevant as was quoted a flat rate for two full
day’s labor,

There are 2 attachments as well
plaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
