First off this response is a bunch of bologne when I first came in the mechanic was told wat all was wrong with the vehicle now the dispute is not on what parts hard to be purchased it is what they claim the parts cost I went to advance auto and got the print out of my parts and it was half the price they claim they paid and of course they know they was being shady because I was a woman and not a man I know and they know that I needed to purchase the belt and water pump but them lying and saying the water pump cost $verses the $advance said they paid for it and the $verses the $they actually paid for the belt and these are the prices quoted to me without a military discount wich they said they would get and not to mention who pays $for coolant they knew exactly what they was doing this is shady business practices that I cant tolerated!!!

I am responding to the Revdex.com about a letter I received in the mail today regarding a customer complaint about repair work she requested be done to her vehicle. Although, we mainly operate as a New & Used Tire Shop we have several ASE Certified mechanics
that provide services on a part time basis. The original quote she received by the mechanic was for parts and labor to replace her water pump. The following day, upon further inspection the mechanic noticed her serpentine belt was damaged and also needed to be replaced which called for additional parts to be ordered as well as Antifreeze. He honored his quote on labor and did not increase his labor cost for this additional work to be performed but did charge her for our cost for the additional parts. It is routine that we contact the customer prior to performing any work if any changes occur in cost due to additional work needing to be performed. The customer was contacted by the mechanic and after being given an explanation on the price increase, he was given the "okay" to perform the necessary repairs. The customer paid once she picked up her vehicle, thanked the mechanic, and left with a smile on her face. Here at Mike's New & Used Tires, we strive to provide superb customer service. I can only say there must have been miscommunication regarding this situation. Although we try to keep our customers happy, this may not be the case in every situation. We stand behind the services we provide and the price she paid for the work she had performed was more than 50% lower than what she would have paid anywhere else to have the work done. Kind Regards, Mike's New & Used Tires

Re: #*** I apologize, I was misinformed, the customer returned later on in the evening prior to closing, the same day she paid and picked up her vehicle. The police did come out and a statement was given to the authorities as to what occurred. I spoke with Management at Advanced Auto Parts and I was told that the customer was quoted a lower price because the parts did not include a warranty. As a business, unless the customer specifically requests to have their parts ordered without warranty, we always purchase parts with a warranty, which overall, protects the customer in the event that the part is damaged in any way. In addition to her further complaints about "gender",- we do not discriminate against gender. As a female business owner, it is our practice to treat each customer with respect and my employees do not discriminate against gender. If there were in fact a dispute over the total price she paid for the repairs preformed on her vehicle, it should have been a matter addressed prior to her paying and picking up her vehicle, not several days later when she returned to my place of business making terroristic threats to "blow up my building" to an employee of mine, who was not aware of the situation. I will not tolerate threats against any of my employees or to my place of business, furthermore, if I had her information, I would have filed charges against this customer by nowThis customer has been banned from returning to my place of business due to multiple threats to one of my employees who immediately informed me via phone at the time this was taking place. I also have saved, a vulgar voice message, in which she left on my mobile phone. I would prefer this be a matter taken up with the courts and can only hope this does not affect my business negatively. Thank you for your time Kind Regards, ** ***
