Mike's Plumbing came to install a bathtub and arrange the connection for the new tub before a tile jobI've noticed that one of the pipes was leakingI immediately notified [redacted] the same day and he said he will come back in the morning to fix itHe never showed up and did not send a message to rescheduleI texted him and asked if he was coming and he said he was coming in the afternoonI told him I needed him to take care of this as the tile guy starts his work within the next 48hrs [redacted] never showed up like he said he wouldI've sent him text messages and he hasn't repliedThis plumber asks his customers to pay him in cashHe doesn't take checks or credit cardsI paid him in full and he has not fulfilled his warranty on the job

We hired *** to put in a bathroomPaid him some up front for materials, paid some in the middle of the project, and then paid him in full on June 16, for a job we thought was completed Upon closer inspection we realized the drain wasn't put in for the sink and the vent cap wasn't put inIt states on the contract these things would be done and they have not beenFor almost months *** has told us he would be out, and he NEVER shows up when he gives us the date and time and we arrange to be home only for him not to showHe never returns phone calls or text messages when we are trying to confirmHe always has an excuse and makes another date and time to come out only to not show up again

I have worked with the consumerThe boyfriend *** called me to do the rough in partHe said he could install the drain on his ownHe haggled me down on price and talked *** into itHe wanted to get the project running as soon as possible and couldn’t do the job on his ownThey basically got
a $job for a $priceMy job was to jackhammer hole out of flooring, put pit in ground, put concrete in and put flooring in as a favor, get rough in, water running piping setHe was to set sink and toiletAs far as the sink drain, it is thereWe did an external drain so we did not have to tear down the wall which was explained multiple times and agreed uponEverything is there that we paid forI have completed everything as promisedThey were decent people throughout itI told them I would come out at another time and help him with the sink just as a friendly offer because I knew he would need help doing it on his ownI made several attempts to try to call himI tried to work out a time to come and there were excuses on both endsHe had motorcycle classes or wasn’t home and I had times when I was still working or had to pick up my daughterThe last time he called I told him I would try to swing by on the way home, but I had the jobAgain, I was doing the comeback part as a favor, I did not charge them for thisI want to make an attempt to do thisI have tried to call them times and it either goes to voicemail or says not accepting callsI will still try to contact them

The plumber came over and is working on fixing the issue

I am rejecting this response because:We didn't haggle anything! He gave us a price and we accepted itI had other bids from actual businesses and they were all close to his price, but he was the least expensive and he was able to come out the soonest so we went with himBIG MISTAKENot one single big was even close to $3,000.00, much less $4,000.00! Not only is he lying, he hasn't one time tried to make good on what he promised to doHe ADMITTED to my husband and myself that he forgot to do a few thingsOur fault as well because we missed them at the end of the job before final paymentOk, so not a big deal we are all human, but now....crickets...no return calls and no appointment times keptI now know you get what you pay forGo with a legit business even if it costs a little more.

I've used *** twice now for repairs and upgrades on my homeHe's always been courteous, prompt and willing to go the extra mileThanks ***

Enclosed is a copy of the original proposal/agreement I have everyone sign when a deposit is made to schedule a jobIt states on here that this is for rough in piping and not hooking up toilets and faucets, it also says nothing of replacing finished floor only that I would put concrete back where it was removed, but I also modified and reinstalled their simulated pergo type interlock flooring and cut it to work with all of the new protrusions sticking to the floor, I also left all the material to hook up sink and toilet($worth) that also was not included in original bidIf they weren't happy with the work when I completed what was agreed to they had option to hold money untill satisfiedI do not like unhappy people but unreasonable people, I can't controlThe woman is sicl with some disease shes recemtly been diagnosed with, has an autisisc son an unemployed live in boyfriend and she's supporting her ex husband from what I was told, I can empathise with her bring under tremendous stress but I don't see how that makes me at fault for a job her boyfriend can't finish like he claimed he could
