I was well treated and served by Johnney. I appreciate the help of being eligible with the bank financing it for me =. Everyone was very nice to me and my husband.

Review: On March 28th I bought a car from Mike's auto sales. That same day as I was driving it home the transmission went out almost left me stranded on the freeway. I contacted [redacted] that same day he said don't come back I'm leaving the office I'll call you tomorrow. I waited for his call it never came since then I been going to his office every day and he's avoiding me. I took the car to get a professional diagnostic and the results were horrible. The car was junk it needed a brand new transmission and a couple major mechanical repairs that would total to 9,100. All I wanted was my down payment back and to cancel the contract because in all reality no one is going to want to pay a broken down car. He keeps avoiding me and ignoring me at this point I am going to file a lawsuit against him.Desired Settlement: I want the 800 down payment as well as 135 for the professional diagnostic. 100 dollars that I spent on the insurance for a car that doesn't work.

Business

Response:

we have reviewed the customer complaint and we are sorry to inform the customer there is nothing we can do help her with she bought the car AS IS with no cooling off period and she canceled her 48 hours cancellation option on the day of the delivery ..and before the transaction took place she test drove the car as well when she called me and told me she having issues with the transmission shifting I told her bring it back and I will have my mechanic check it out , and since she financed the car she was required to provide me a full coverage insurance so all when I can advise her with to bring it back and my mechanic check it out and we will go from there .

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: I took the vehicle back the next day and [redacted] was not there since then I been taking the vehicle and no one has been able to help me. I did buy the car as is but I bought it off a dealership not a junk place so there was no excuse for the car to break down within hours. I will be filing a law suit today my attorney will be in contact.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from the dealer in March. I had temporary registration since then. I had the vehicle inspected and was informed that the engine is internally damaged. I researched information on Virginia dealers board website stating after the initial 30 days the buyer has the right to return the vehicle. The dealer now has the title and says I have to come sign it. I informed him I either wanted a refund or another vehicle of my choice.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund because he stated I would not have a choice regarding the car he will give me as a replacement. He also mentioned he will see me in court once I mentioned I wasn't going to sign the title to the current vehicle I have.

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business who stated that the customer came in last Friday, and at that point nothing was found to be wrong with the engine. He stated that the customer was told that she could return the vehicle, but it has been 3 months and she has driven 5,000 miles, and the refund amount would be based on the miles she's driven. He said that they calculate .50 per mile and subtract that from the amount of the vehicle. He stated that she is welcome to return the vehicle, but he will not be offering the full refund due to the miles the customer has put on the vehicle since purchasing it.

Review: I purchased a 2002 vw beetle from Mike's Auto Sales, [redacted]., [redacted]. * on 3/21/2014 My down payment was $1300, I gave [redacted] $1000 and was suppose to give him the rest after the door panel was fixed, he avoided all my calls, then he filled a different contract with [redacted], stating differnt figures. As of 4/28/2014 I have not recieve my plates or tags, I am driving a untagged vehicle. He will not return or answer any of my calls. Im wondering if my car is illegal?Desired Settlement: I want Mike's auto sales to honor the original contract, repair my door panel as he said, also get the tags and plates as a car dealer suppose to do.

Business

Response:

This is a response to a letter a our office received May 28th 2014 regarding customer by the name of [redacted], our company sold her a 2002 vw beetle on 3/21/2014 upon selling the vehicle the customer stated that she only had $1000 of the $1300 that was due our company worked out a deal with said customer to pay the remaining $300 when the new door panel came in. In this year of Vw it has manual windows which is very hard to find a matching door panel with this option. We ordered one with this option and it came in broke had to send it back new one is on the way will contact customer when it is available. Our company spoke to a [redacted] at your company this mourning 6-5-14 and advised her of the situation also we let her know the registration issue has been solved. Thank you for your time if you have any questions please call ###-###-####

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: Nothing has been resolved between myself and mike of Mike's auto sales. I did not make any agreement to pay mike 300 dollar's when he gets the door panel. He promised to have that fixed the day I test drove the car. I have only received text messages from him stating he is taking care of my registration it's been almost three months now. I have been pulled over by the CHP several times due to out dated registration so I've stop driving the car I'm paying on. I wish I would have never got a car from this campany I have had nothing but trouble and headaches.

Business

Response:

Company states that they are waiting on his supplier to find a door. The consumer has door that has a roll down window and the door needs to be gray in color. The are going to take care of the consumer when the parts come in. The consumer stated in her complaint that she is suppose to pay the 300 when the door is replaced.

Consumer

Response:

The consumer states that she has had to take care of all the issues herself. She had to go to [redacted] and they went to visit the business. The next day the business went to [redacted] and took care of the registration. I still have not received my door panel and doubt that I ever will. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: There's no agreement with myself and mike to pay 300 dollars when I receive the door panel. Mike of Mike's auto sales have been paid since 4/4/2014. I have the receipt to prove it. He is doing what he has been doing since I got the car. And that is tell lies and false statements. And not do anything he promised to do. It's taken this long and I still don't have my registration that should tell you how he handles business I got the car on 3/21/2014. It's now the end of june. Again I do not owe anymore money to Mike of Mike's auto sales. I'm still a unhappy customer.

Review: I purchased a vehicle from them on January 28th 2016 and a week and a half later it broke down and the total to fix it is 3000 dollars. The car was as is but they assured me that nothing was wrong with it and if within 30 days it breaks down that they would help me. It's been since February 10th 2016 and the car is still sitting in the shop. They misrepresentated the vehicle and now I'm stuck with a car payment for a car I can't drive. I'm a single mother just trying to make it.Desired Settlement: I would like my down payment back and return the vehicle. It has serious issues.

Business

Response:

Revdex.com spoke with Mike from the business. He stated the owner was in contact with this customer and told her to take it to a shop to be looked at, the car was sold "as-is" but the business would be willing to speak with her about the vehicle.

Review: Dealer misrepresented the vehicle only had it for 2 weeks and it had issues from the beginning and now the transmission is gone and they refuse to help me fix itDesired Settlement: Refund or repair the vehicle

Business

Response:

[redacted] from the business responded to this complaint. He stated that the customer purchased the vehicle "as-is" and they are unable to return the vehicle as it is being financed though a finance company.

Review: On February 12th 2014 I contacted [redacted] about some issues with my car that I bought from him on December 20th 2013. The check engine light came on regarding the o2 sensors, also the clutch went out and the window switches stopped working. He said that I would get my car back in about three days. I went to the shop that was suppose to be fixing my car (also where I had dropped the car off) a couple days later and saw that my car was no longer there. I asked the employees of that shop were my car was and none of them knew were it went. Then I called [redacted] to ask were my car was at and all he said was that he had to take it to a different shop, but would not tell me what shop my car is currently at. On Sat. Feb. 22nd he texted and said "Ur car should be ready" but still will not tell me were it was at. He continues to use rude language and hang up whenever I try to call about my car. It was already suppose to be fixed he texted "if it's not ready tomorrow I will give u another car to drive but I am almost sure it should be good by tomorrow I think he is going to fix the windows too for sure" on Fed 24th. It is now Feb. 25th I was again told I could pick it up tomorrow, but when I asked what shop it was at so I can pick it up today he texted "Come pick it up tomorrow u go fix it f[redacted] that dude". I still do not have my car OR know where it is at.Desired Settlement: I would like to have everything fixed on my car that [redacted] said he would fix, including the check engine light (o2 sensor), the clutch, and the window switches. [redacted] is extremely unprofessional and I would like to get my car back in proper working condition with license plates and tags. Also, I would not want any further contact with [redacted] and do not feel that I should have to pay him a balance of $850 that I owe him by March 20th for the down payment.

Business

Response:

Company states that they fixed the car. They also stated that the consumer paid the rest of the down payment and they provided her the registration and tags to the vehicle. The issues have been resolved.

Review: I purchased a car from Mike's Auto Sales and did not realize that the car I purchased was missing the seatbelts from the backseat. I called and spoke to Mike several times and he was supposed to get this issue resolved for me. He advised me that he had ordered the parts needed. Since then I have had a difficult time getting in touch with Mike or getting him to return my calls. I am unable to have anyone ride in the back of my vehicle since it is against the law to not have seatbelts. I would not of purchased this vehicle if I knew the seatbelts were missing.Desired Settlement: Would like seatbelts installed as promised.

Business

Response:

Business states that due to a medical situation he has been unable to respond. Business would like consumer to bring vehicle to Sacramento within business hours so both parties can inspect the issues and resolve the matter. Business is willing to absorb the cost of the needed part(s) and installation. Consumer must allow business to thoroughly inspect vehicle and allow them enough time to find and purchase the needed part(s).

Review: When I purchased a vehicle from Mikes Auto Sales he said that he would fix the two front windows within a week, he understood that I have two children under the age of 2 and needed the vehicle to be in decent working order. The windows in the front dont roll up or down and the driver side window is cracked and lets in a lot of cold air. When I called to confirm that he ordered the parts on the day that he said he would, he got upset and yelled at me and hung up on me stating, what is the point of confirming I'll call you when the parts are ready. When I went into the office in person to speak with him he yelled at one of his coworkers in front of me and slam the door. When he got around to addressing my needs he told me that his internet was down and that they had ordered the wrong parts for my vehicle(instead of $60 per door it would be $210 per door). He told me to follow up with him the following Wednesday which will be tomorrow so that we can brainstorm and figure out how to get my windows fixed since the motor seems to still be working on both windows.I also advised him that the thermostat is messed up or something is leaking from the radiator and that I want him to look at the rotors on the car because the car shakes when I apply the brakes. He advised me that he would have his mechanic look at all of my needs when I came in to get the windows fixed.I also asked for a diagnostic exam and I never received it.I didn't press the issue the second time because internet was down. When I advised him of the leaky radiator that's when he told me that the car indicators did not work properly and that I needed to check the fluids every time I got in the car.I had only had the car for week when it over heated. I bought myself some time when I purchased some stop leak.Desired Settlement: I would like an accurate assessment of what is wrong with the vehicle and for him to make the necessary changes to make sure that I have a safe vehicle.I know I purchased the car AS IS but I do have some expectation of the vehicle to be able to run safely for me and my children. If need be, I can purchase the parts and if he can assist with having his mechanics do the work free of labor. If he's not willing to fix the vehicle I would like a refund of my money.I still need a safe car for the kids.

Business

Response:

She purchased the car AS IS. The car had a broken window regulator. We made her aware. She asked if we could fix it. We called and the regulator is about $200 for front and back. We told her we will do the labor for free. Then the seller said the regular is actually $600. I said I would give her the $200 back. She said I don't want it. So it became difficult so I began dealing with her dad. So the dad so said let's continue for the window regulator issue. So we are awaiting for that part. So later they came back and said the radiator is leaking. They bought the radiator and I would pay for the labor. So now we are just awaiting for the parts and we are taking care of all the labor. I hope that this will all be squared away shortly for her car.

Review: I bought a car from [redacted] in april of this year... The price of the car was $10,000. I gave [redacted] $5500 down and still owed [redacted] $4500. I was give him $1200 on May first and he would have my 2016 tags the following day. One week had passed and we called [redacted] and he said still no tags. So on May 11 I called [redacted] to ask him wat was going on wit my tags he cursed me and hung up in my face. Now im pissed so I texted [redacted] and told him Im coming up to the car lot to speak wit him and Im not giving another dime if I dont get my tags. Also was going tO seek a lawyer for breach of contract. [redacted] text me back and said fk u bh...Dont ever call me again you fking whore, you think im afraid of u people I will delay your paperwork two more weeks. He text me today may 14 and said have your husband call me about about the paperwork on the 2004 volkswagen toureq. My husband called and he said he got the tags but bring the truck so he could see if the correct license plates were on the car so my husband went. My husband came back wit 2015 sticker which I already have on the car but the Month of January. The registration paper say dec 2015. He said my husband and I had to go to dmv and get the Dec sticke Ourselves.... He is a liar and a cheat.... I feel like he really got over on us...Desired Settlement: I just want my car registered correctly and promptly....

Consumer

Response:

Consumer states that she has finally received the up to date month and year registration. She also states that she actually had to personally go to the DMV to obtain the correct month tags.
