Mike's & Daughter Radiator and Automotive Reviews (%countItem)

My car was previously "fixed" by this company but shortly afterwards new issues arose. I took it back to them as the issue was covered under a warranty. However, they claimed a new issue was causing the problem; they said new spark plugs needed to be installed. They did so, after I may or may not have given permission; I work third shift and when I spoke to them regarding the spark plugs I was extremely tired but they said I said to fix them. I have no recollection of this. They then charged $238 for this "fix" which is a lot higher than industry standard. Along with this issue, my car now has new codes they say need to be addressed as well. I believe they may have damaged my car along with performing labor I do not remember agreeing to.

Dear Revdex.com,

Enclosed is a copy of the repair we did on customer vehicle back on 4-19-2017. For more then 6 months did not hear anything from customer about vehicle, customer stated that he had the vehicle at another garage and they said that the water pump was the issue so he *** brought the vehicle back here- When we started the vehicle to pull in the shop we noticed right away the vehicle was running rough—So we went over the entire cooling system, including the water pump and everything we previous did to the vehicle was all good!! But as stated on the bill the customer SEVERELY overheated the vehicle as on the bill it states we cannot be responsible for future issues with the cooling system— but since the customer was in here over 6 months ago my tech hooked his large scanner which I normally charge from 125.00 or more (no the hand held you get at the part stores) to try and figure out why the vehicle was not running correctly— code *** randon missfire— *** secondary air injection—*** cyl 1 missfire—*** cyl #2 missfire *** fuel system lean-also code ***—pi 297 possible in the turbo boost-—fuel—or injectors itself— the tech then went to check the spark plugs and found that there were GM spark plugs in and they are not the correct plugs should be *** or ***— at that point I called the customer and he CEARLY knew what I said because he question me about the GM plugs -we said to start with we need to put the correct plugs and go from there and he authorized the repairs cause I stated I hope this takes care of the problem but I cannot guarantee it, there could still be other issues and he said hope it take care of it also!! After installing the correct plugs vehicle was still not running correct and my tech hooked up the computerized large scanner and spent another hour on the vehicle which I NEVER charged the customer for - His father came in several times with the first repair cause the father stated that *** did not understand what we were talking about and his father clearly understood once we explained everything-father- came in about the spark plugs and we showed him the old ones and we explained to him that what we did before was all good and that his issues were totally different he understood and said not to go any further and we did not!! Charging $225.00 for spark plugs installed and with checking vehicle out is more then fare!! The previous bill for cooling system was $1585.38 We stand behind our work and we did NOT do any damage to this vehicle what so ever!!! *** is responsible, as I stated just bought the vehicle 7 months ago - vehicle was severely overheated— it had the wrong spark plugs in the vehicle!!!—Note *** states that he had issues shortly-after repairs—it went over 6 months and was not under warranty because everything we did with the cooling system is still good!! Its clear that this vehicle when *** bought it had issues from the start and If *** had the vehicle checked out before purchasing it would have found out the truth of what he was IN FOR !!Note—on the first invoice the customer states that the person he bought the vehicle from said the heater core is clogged is why vehicle is overheating— Customer does not understand the complexity of a vehicle!!Mike & Daughter Rad & AutomotiveShawn
