Mike's delivered the car to our dealer in FT Pierce, but did not leave the key to the car. They dropped off wrong key, lost key.
Mike's delivered the car to our dealer in FT Pierce, but did not leave the key to the car. Then 2 days later they dropped off the key. The Dealer tried to move the car into the shop on June 17 Monday and realized that Mike's dropped off the wrong key. I called Mike's and they said that they would take care of the key issue that Monday. It is now Tuesday June 18 and still the correct key has not been dropped off at the dealer. This is ridiculous.

Desired Outcome

They either get the key to the dealer ASAP or pay for a new key to be made.

Mr ***'s vehicle was dropped off at Mercedes of the Treasure Coast on 6/12/19 @ 16:45. When the driver was unloading the vehicle he realized he forgot the key to the vehicle in the office. He let Gary know at the body shop. The next morning 6/13/19 @ 9:45 the key was dropped off to *** On 6/18/19 I received a call from Mr ***, Mrs *** and Travelers Insurance regarding the key. They were all told that the key had been delivered at 9:45.Gary had called them to tell them the key was missing. On 6/18/19 *** called our office and told us that the key that was dropped off was not to the *** Mercedes. He advised that it took a different "style" key. At that time I told *** to order the customer a new key (I took him at his word) and that we would pay for it. On 6/19/19 I received a call from Skip in the parts department asking me to send a check to prepay for the key. A check (#XXXXX $464.00) was immediately delivered. On 6/21/19, I received another call from Gary requesting a check to pay for the key to be programmed. While writing the second check another of my customers came by my office in a Mercedes similar to Mr ***'s. I asked my customer to see what his key looked like. Imagine my surprise when his key was identical to the key that Gary said was wrong. After completing the check (#XXXXX $139.95) I sent a driver (***) to Treasure Coast Mercedes with the check and the "wrong key". *** gave Gary the check and went outside to look for the *** Mercedes. *** told *** that the vehicle was in the paint booth and he couldn't access it. *** looked through the door of the paint booth and said that isn't the one. *** located the *** Mercedes on the lot, still damaged, and tried the "wrong key" in the door of the vehicle. Imagine my utmost surprise when the key locked and unlocked the door. We have this on video. *** called me and I called *** I told *** what was happening. He was "shocked" that *** found the vehicle and then went outside and met with ***. *** showed him that the key that he was was wrong did in fact work the vehicle. Gary was sarcastic and asked where you would put the key in the vehicle if it was a push start ignition. *** showed *** that the push button can be removed and the key inserted. Gary then said to try and start the vehicle. *** advised Gary that since the ignition had been reprogrammed to the new key the vehicle would not longer start with the "wrong key". *** left *** standing there and went back in the office. After 10 minutes with no response from Gary I called *** He was "on the phone" and I spoke with *** (Body Shop Manager). Again, to my surprise, *** had no idea of this situation. I explained to *** everything that transpired and he also went outside to meet with ***. *** showed him everything he showed *** called me back to say that he was going to have my money refunded by check, he was going to call Mr ***, and he was going to respond to the Revdex.com. He gave *** back the check off of Gary's desk that he had just delivered and told me that a check would be mailed from accounting to reimburse me for the key I already paid for. On this same day, I did call Mr *** and Mrs *** on two separate numbers to advise them of the shenanigans that were happening at Mercedes of the Treasure Coast and neither one answered their phone or returned my call as I left voicemails for them. On 7/9/19 I called *** and inquired about the refund check. He put me on hold and then said that he should have it that day. On 7/10/19, I received another call from *** to tell me that he had the refund check and we could stop and pick it up. We picked up the refund check on 7/10/19. In my opinion, I think this is bad business for Mercedes of the Treasure Coast and Gary. I feel like our small business was taken advantage of by a multi million dollar dealership and that there was going to be a cover up. To my knowledge *** nor Mercedes of the Treasure Coast have responded to the Revdex.com nor admitted to Mr *** that they were the ones who actually "messed up". Attached is documentation of checks written and refunded by Mercedes of the treasure Coast.
