I needed two windows replaced. I gave Mike a $200 check deposit(9/15/2014)-he took my money, did no work and has not sent refund.I received Mike 's information as a referral from one of my father's work colleagues at [redacted]. I need to have two windows in my home replaced. I began speaking with Mike and he visited my house to as the situation on August 26th 2014. On Sept 15th, 2014 Mike came back to measure the windows and asked for a $200 deposit(check #[redacted]- I have a picture and bank records proving that he deposited the check that day) to order the windows. I was going to pay him another $235 ($435 total) once the job was complete. Mike asked me to ask the previous homeowners specific(model and number) details about the type of windows presently installed and I provided him that information via e-mail on September 22nd 2014. He told me he would try to order the windows the next day(Sept 23rd 2014). I expected him to get back in touch with me within the next two weeks when they arrived. I did not hear from Mike so on Oct 14th, Oct 20th, Nov 2nd I followed up and tried to schedule a time for him to replace the windows. On November 13th Mike told me he needed to know what year the windows were built and my full name and address. At this point it was obvious that he had still not ordered the windows almost two months after I thought he had. I provided him my name and address(where he has been multiple times) on Nov 18th. I did not hear from Mike again. I followed up with him on December 18th asking when the earliest time was that he could do the work. No response. I followed up on December 22nd and asked for an update. At that time he told me anytime after January 5th and promised that he would be able to. I suggested January 9th. No response from Mike. On January 5th I asked Mike if he would be able to bring the windows at any time that week. He did not respond so I called him and said that at this point I would rather just have my $200 deposit back and hire someone else. He told me that was fine and asked that I send him my address again. He said that he would mail the check within the next two days. On Sat, Jan 10th 2015 I followed up with Mike to ask if he mailed the check. No response. I have attempted to call him multiple times since then and he is not answering my calls, I'm assuming he has no intention of following through with my refund or speaking with me again at all at this point.Desired Settlement$200 dollars
