Mike's Painting & Powerwashing

Review: I paid this company $175 to power wash and stain my deck. I was given a date and had to take my 2 dogs for overnight boarding since that is only entrance to my house and was told it needed 24 hours to dry. Boarding costs were $70. He never showed, cashed my check, has not responded to phone calls or messages. I tried to send a certified letter to this address and it was returned as unable to forward. I went to police station who directed me to magistrate court but was told that they could not serve him if the address was not valid. I do not know how to obtain a valid address at this point to continue my complaint against him.Desired Settlement: I would like my deposit refunded and be reimbursed for the cost of boarding my dogs overnight - a total of $245

Review: **. Michael [redacted] failed to complete the job he promised in our verbal agreement on 7.10.2013. I was not present at my home to see to job finished because I had a prior engagement and I trusted [redacted] to do the work he promised. In our agreement he promised to Powerwash the lower deck, the outside walls to the back and the upper deck for the amount of $400.00. I called **. [redacted] and left a message to call me on my cell when the work was done. He called and told me the work was finished and I ask him "did you do the upper deck also"? and he said yes. I told him where to locate the check and he said to call him when I was ready to stain the deck and I said "Ok". When I got home the lower deck and the walls were done but not the upper , so I called him and told him he did a good job with the lower deck and walls but the upper deck was not done. He told me he thought the person that worked with him powerwash the upper deck and he would be at my home at 4:30PM on 7.11.2013 to do the job himself. He did not show up so I called him twice and left a message for him and he never returned my call. He cashed the check on the same day he received it and the job is still incomplete. I honored my word with a payment and honored his with dishonesty. **. [redacted] has lowered my trust in society because I will not be able to trust someone at their word.Desired Settlement: I want [redacted] to complete the job or return a portion of the payment for the job undone

Review: We contracted with Mike [redacted], trading as Mikes Painting and Powerwashing, to clean and paint our outside deck. He did not complete the job and overcharged us by $50 over the agreed upon amount. We have attempted to contact him by phone at least 4 times and he does not answer and does not return voice mails left on the phone.Desired Settlement: We would like him to complete the work he agreed to perform and to return the $50 he overcharged us.
