On 12/29/at approx10pm, Law Enforcement dispatched us to remove an abandoned vehicle on [redacted] ** No contact was made with the registered owner and the vehicle was towed to our lot.12/30/at approx10am, customer arrived at shop to make arrangements for his car After talking to customer about his options, he attempted to call a friend with a trailer to get his car and also attempted to call a repair shop, both of which were failed attempts We discussed how he might be stuck until Tuesday due to the weather (approx-F) and also because it was a Saturday on New Years Eve weekend and the holiday landing on Monday At this point, the customer was given a deal as follows: Pay the initial towing bill and if he wanted to pay a second towing bill he could leave the car (storage free) for a few days and We would tow it anywhere in town when he was able to make arrangements with a shop of his choosing The customer agreed and paid for both tows and was instructed to start calling repair shops and let us know when and where he wanted his car towed in town here From 12/29/to 01/02/the vehicle sat in our impound lot free of storage per our agreement. On 01/02/the customer called to have it towed to a repair shop in the next town over I informed the customer that that was not the deal we had agreed upon I informed him the deal we had was for an in-town tow and if he wanted it towed to the next town over, it would cost $additional I asked him if he had any luck with contacting local repair shops and he stated that he would pay extra to have it towed to the next town over because that was the only shop he found that was willing to get him in that same day As soon as we hung up the phone I towed the vehicle to the repair shop where the customer met me and paid the additional charge.Below are the charges the customer paid for for separate tows, not tow for approxmiles as the customer indicated in his complaintInitial tow at 10pm $2002nd tow in-town $85Tax $15.66Total charged to credit card $300.66Plus an additional $to cover the difference between an in-town tow and an out of town tow.Its unfortunate that the customer had his car break down, however, under the circumstances and the factors pertaining to the customers vehicle being towed twice, the customer received a service at a fair price to get his car situated and I do not feel as if a refund is warranted Furthermore, at no point in our conversations did the customer disclose himself as being unhappy about the product/price/services rendered so I am not offering any reimbursement Thank You,Mikes Towing, LLC

car.  After talking to customer about his options, he attempted to call a friend with a trailer to get his car and also attempted to call a repair shop, both of which were failed attempts.  We discussed how he might be stuck until Tuesday due to the weather (approx. -8 F) and also because it was a Saturday on New Years Eve weekend and the holiday landing on Monday.  At  this point, the customer was given a deal as follows:  Pay the initial towing bill and if he wanted to pay a second towing bill he could leave the car (storage free) for a few days and We would tow it anywhere in town when he was able to make arrangements with a shop of his choosing.  The customer agreed and paid for both tows and was instructed to start calling repair shops and let us know when and where he wanted his car towed in town here.  From 12/29/17 to 01/02/18 the vehicle sat in our impound lot free of storage per our agreement. On 01/02/18 the customer called to have it towed to a repair shop in the next town over.  I informed the customer that that was not the deal we had agreed upon.  I informed him the deal we had was for an in-town tow and if he wanted it towed to the next town over, it would cost $100 additional.  I asked him if he had any luck with contacting local repair shops and he stated that he would pay extra to have it towed to the next town over because that was the only shop he found that was willing to get him in that same day.  As soon as we hung up the phone I towed the vehicle to the repair shop where the customer met me and paid the additional charge.Below are the charges the customer paid for for 2 separate tows, not 1 tow for approx. 1.5 miles as the customer indicated in his complaint. Initial tow at 10pm                         $2002nd tow in-town                             $85Tax                                                $15.66Total charged to credit card          $300.66Plus an additional $100 to cover the difference between an in-town tow and an out of town tow.Its unfortunate that the customer had his car break down, however, under the circumstances and the factors pertaining to the customers vehicle being towed twice, the customer received a service at a fair price to get his car situated and I  do not feel as if a refund is warranted.    Furthermore, at no point in our conversations did the customer disclose himself as being unhappy about the product/price/services rendered so I am not offering any reimbursement.  Thank You,Mikes Towing, LLC

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
Regards,
Christopher [redacted]  He NEVER said in town only. He told me where I wanted the car fixed!  He is telling you a load of un true statements. I do intend to spread the word about his poor treatment of people and how he grossly over charges for towing. I guess since you can do nothing to help I will contact Baraboo chamber of commerce. He took advantage of the fact I could not leave work to deal with him. All I wanted was the extra charge of $100 back because that was not our deal!
