When we got the work order from [redacted]
on 3/5/14 and we scheduled for 3/27/14 we checked it out and gave estimate to
[redacted] . They authorized it on 4/1/14 and we ordered parts on 4/24/14,when we had
extra money to pay for the parts since [redacted] was three months behind on
payments .They promised to catch up .we picked up parts when they came in on
4/29/14 and we installed them on 5/1/14 and found that there was an additional
problem .Since we knew the parts we installed where new .we asked them([redacted])
if we could bring the oven into shop to work on it and we would let them use a
loner oven at no charge . At the shop we went through it and found out that one
of the new parts that we installed was defective from the factory. We ordered a
new part on 5/15/14 and received it on 5/22/14 we installed it and tested it. In
the meantime I was calling [redacted] to see when thy would be sending more money
since I have not received payment from then since 4/15/14. I kept calling them
6-10 times a day and thy did not return my Calls before thy would call me
right back within an hour ,I assumed then that they where gone, since the
phones no longer worked at [redacted]. I called Mr. [redacted] and informed him that the
oven was completed but I could not take it back till someone pays me .the
original bill was 950.97 to do the job I told him that I would take 534.97 .he
got angry and told me he would give me bad review on the internet and also the
Revdex.com and also would take me to court unless I would eat the the charges(950.97)
I said fine , and he gave me bad reviews, Week later Mrs. [redacted] calls and

a settlement and asked what it would take to get her oven back. And
she also apologized for Mr. [redacted]. We agreed that they would bring
my loner back to us and I would accept 400.00 as payment in
full that would pay for the parts and we would eat the labor. On
6/14/14 they came to pick up the oven ,paid the 400.00 as agreed upon
and left ,I assumed everything was fine as that is what we agreed to.
It was there oven and there cost to repair it If the
warranty company does not pay then it is there responsibility.
I do know that the warranty company wanted to buy them out instead of
repairing and we where the 2nd company to work on it it maybe
He should have ta[redacted] the buy out I guess I could have pulled my parts
out and given the oven back to them unrepaired. But I was assured we
had a agreement with Mrs. [redacted] and it was settled. I took her word

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference,...
details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[redacted] never did get back to me on his own, my wife ultimately reached out to him to retrieve our gas range. In the end, we had to pay for the repairs which is something we should not have had to do since he was contracted by the warranty company and I have no way of knowing how much he was paid from them. In addition, he would not deliver it, we had to drive to his shop and pick it up. Despite having our range back, the complaint still stands as it took him over two months to repair the range. Had he repaired the range in an reasonable time, we would have had the range working in our home long ago and he would have been paid from the warranty company long before they went out of business. My complaint is a warning to other customers to use caution when conducting business with [redacted]'s Workshop Inc. If you still have doubts, a [redacted] Maps Satellite view of his repair shop should be all you need to know what you are dealing with.

Regards,
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[redacted]'s Workshop was unprofessional in the manner they conducted business. In regards to the matter settled, I remain dissatisfied
with having to pay to retrieve my oven due to [redacted] poor business ethics. My intent is to warn future patrons of what they can expect from having his company service their appliances. [redacted] admits he took three weeks to visit my home from when he was given the work order, and another three weeks to place the order once her was given authorization. I spoke to [redacted] countless times during those three week periods and was told the parts were on order however were backordered by the manufacturer. [redacted] was dishonest in his updates and if he was having financial problems with [redacted], he should have advised me that he could not service my appliance and given me the opportunity to find a suitable replacement. I am unaware of being given the option for a payout in lieu of repairs. I asked [redacted] to make the recommendation for a payout however was told by [redacted] that [redacted] opted for the less expensive repair. Had [redacted] completed the repairs in a timely manner, I would not have been in the predicament I am today and out the $400 I had to pay to retrieve my appliance.
Regards,
I have worked with Mikes Workshop for many years. I call him when ever something breaks. I have never had an issue with his work. I called him July 2015 to fix my dryer. He was there the agreed time and he charged me a fair price. I never realized all the steps that had to be taken to just get inside the dryer and then fix my issue. I will always call Mike when I need work done. His shop is always friendly and helpful.

[redacted] MANAGER
Review: [redacted]'s Warranty was contracted by [redacted] to complete a repair on March 27, 2014 for a defective Kitchen-Aid Range. It took MW three week's to visit the home to diagnose the problem, another three weeks to order parts and then schedule a re-visit. During the in-home repair, the technician stated he could not complete the repair and that he would need to remove the range from my premises and replace the parts at their facility. They left behind a loaner range and stated they would have the Kitchen-Aid range repaired in a few days. Two month's later I still do not have my range and now that [redacted] is defunct, MW is telling me I owe him for those repairs, or he I can keep his dirty loaner and he will "sell the Kitchen Aid Range because it is worth more money."
I believe [redacted]'s Workshop has deceitful business practices as numerous messages to speak to management were never returned. I then find out during my phone call on 5/27/2014 after speaking to [redacted] that I had spo[redacted] to the owner the "11 times" however [redacted] simply didn't tell me it was he who I was speaking to when I asked to speak to a manager.Desired Settlement: I would like my Kitchen Aid range delivered back to my home.
