I don't even know where to startThe owner speaks in riddlesAn example: I at one point emailed and asked what the bolts were for when I saw them listed on an email invoice he sent me(I still have yet to receive an official invoice with letterhead despite multiple calls and emailsIt was my mistake for paying before I got thatI need it for my records for taxes etc and he isn't sending it just to spite me)the response I got from him was "woof woof" I realized he probably meant roof and therefore top plate and when I asked again he sent me this long email that basically said I needed to ask for a refund for my degree (I had heard similar sentiments multiple times from him at this point) and still didn't answer my question
That experience pales in comparison to the day I made the mistake of asking him for an actual bid on my projectI had been in their shop for probably a couple hours trying to get an actual number out of himAs he stood there and drank what I believe to be whiskey, gave me a pen and paper and started saying "ok how many square feet in this wall? multiply this by thisAcronymRiddleI'm so much smarter than you poor girlDon't worry, Uncle Dave is going to save you" I had finally had enough and said "I just want to know how much this is going to cost" Well that did itIn a drunken rage he started yelling at me over and over again "She just wants to know how much this is going to cost!!"
I still can't even believe I went through with using their product after thatI was ready to submit my drawings and already had all of their details worked out based on their product, my dimensions on their module, and my fenestration sizing and design also based on itI ultimately decided I just couldn't afford the time it would take to change products
I would say overall I am pretty happy with the actual productIt is a good productWhich makes all that I have said even more of a shameI simply cannot recommend themI had them do the install and one of my walls is pretty off plumb I am also missing wood in a couple places that made attaching doors and windows more difficultThey also did not field verify the height of my existing structure before cutting everything (they actually started cutting without my permission to go ahead) I tried to work with it to not be a jerk and make them do it over but I ultimately did have to modify their height of one of the walls- which they felt obliged to call a work order and charge me extra for
